Enhanced project management and automation simplify reporting and approval processes
I think that Adobe Workfront could be improved in several areas, including reporting, which I've already mentioned. There are very specific things within the custom forms that I think could be improved, such as having different labels within forms instead of system-wide. The ability to hide options in a drop-down at the custom form level instead of system-wide would be another improvement. There are times we have to create brand new fields because we need slightly different wording within the label. If we had the capability, we could easily trim down from over 1,000 custom fields to about 400 custom fields if we had the ability to have individual labels by form. So reporting is a big one, and I think there are some not huge changes needed, but improvements to custom forms and custom fields would be beneficial. My experience with reporting in Adobe Workfront so far is that the reporting could be better. The ability to report is great, but I think it is too difficult. Regarding dashboards, they are crucial to be able to pull information from different levels, but that's also a negative because it is very difficult to do that on a report. If I have issue-level data and project-level data that I need to see, with some custom coding, you can do some of it in a report, but in general, if you have a lot of that blended data between levels, you need to use a dashboard, which requires two different reports due to the difficulty in pulling data at the different levels into one thing.

Has improved project tracking accuracy and simplified team collaboration through flexible task workflows
On a scale of 1-10, I rate ClickUp a 10 out of 10. The best advantage with ClickUp is that it's easy to use, without much of a learning curve, and it's easy to understand the UI and interface, which makes it easier to consume the product compared to others in the market. I use the time tracking feature in ClickUp. The time tracking feature helps manage my deadlines effectively, and it is much more detailed compared to any other product available. One of the primary things I really appreciate about ClickUp is the summary of the project; once the project ends, I can export the summary into a PDF, so I don't have to write the document manually. Regarding analytic reports provided by ClickUp, it provides specific metrics, and while I need more time to understand how efficiently it manages the metrics, it can cater to both basic and advanced tasks. I have not seen any disadvantages or areas for improvement with ClickUp, and the updates they bring in are quite fast and efficient, so I'm quite satisfied with the product currently. I have not encountered any particular challenges or complexities. I cannot think of any features they could add in the future. They have AI integration available with their product line today, which is not offered by other products, and while Microsoft Project Manager's AI integration is complex, ClickUp already has all the components in place. I only work with Einstein Analytics, which we use as an internal tool.

Pros

"The features of Adobe Workfront that I have found the most valuable so far are the data gathering capabilities through the custom forms, especially when you're in an industry where everything is so tightly monitored and audited."
"Workfront is innovative and these were plenty of features that I found valuable while working at Logitech. Workfront had this feature of Project Schedule Templatization. This saves time and effort and even leads to the standardization of processes that are well-assorted. The Intelligent Graphical Interfaces of Workfront allow one to look at a specific type of resource and a specific phase for a specific family of products. You can get quite granular with the data and even zoom in or out of the timeline. It also categorizes projects according to classes and portfolios so that over time, you can more easily understand what are the various metrics involved in producing a specific portfolio Another important feature is Workfront allowing you to validate milestones and investigate the project. This also helped me to understand which projects are performing well and whether it was beneficial to invest in the same. The IT and the app configuration is quite secure and it is one of the benefits. One more valuable feature is the integration of communication systems inside Workfront. This helps you differentiate between normal business emails and project-specific conversations. This is also known as ‘queues’ and I absolutely find this feature extremely powerful."
"I can say it is a powerful tool. We have everything in-house in that tool, like, creating reports, dashboards, creating various workflows, and everything we have inside one application."
"Workfront centralizes the tasks, the assignment of tasks, and documents required to do the work, streamlining communication and information availability, thus improving organization and reducing dependency on decentralized methods like email or servers."
"Adobe Workfront has been stable in my experience, and I would rate its stability as an eight out of ten."
"Instead of following everything on email, business users can track everything on Adobe Workfront when the other systems are integrated with it."
"Adobe Workfront is a very broad platform, and when examining its primary function, it excels at project management and collaborative work management, with flexibility that allows it to be used for many things beyond overall project management in terms of general metadata compiling."
"The most valuable feature of Adobe Workfront that I have found is the external lookup, which helps users to get the outputs based on the API and enables users to get region information if it was in the country based on the logic-driven key and value pair."
"The most valuable feature of ClickUp is the UI scheduling tool. It is the best and most convenient and attractive."
"So when I take a note, I have the ability to highlight text and have it transform into a specific part of the note as a task."
"We can update tasks and track projects."
"Everything in one place is the biggest benefit. I also like the diagramming tools, where you can create DFDs, structure charts, and more. That makes things easier."
"Stability-wise, I rate the solution a ten out of ten."
"It gives reminders for important project dates and when a particular task is about to close."
"We found it very simple and intuitive to use...The initial setup is straightforward."
"The most interesting feature is the ability to share what you are working on with an external entity. The customer has direct visibility on what is being done on a particular project and this provides a lot of transparency."

Cons

"Scalability in Adobe Workfront means it does not have its own storage space, since it is not a digital asset management tool."
"I would say that the stability, honestly, has gone down since the Adobe acquisition, and the quality when they roll out their updates."
"We were having some difficulties creating different kinds of reports and dashboards."
"Certain regions experience latency issues when dealing with large quantities of projects, which could be improved from Adobe's side."
"I have used the product and instantiated it, almost seven years back. The process was fairly complex, however, I don't know if they have changed the same now. But this is something I think, if not addressed can be improved. Another area that needs a little attention, is the change of implementation lead. Back when we had Workfront instantiated, we often had our timeline delayed due to the change in the implementation lead. Now Workfront is under Adobe and, in case, this issue, isn't fixed it should be given due attention. Also, Workfront is a universal tool, which can pose a difficulty for small businesses and companies, who don't have the required time, effort, and knowledge to configure it periodically."
"The performance needs to be smoother, and there is room for improvement in Data Connect while writing queries and integrating with other analysis tools."
"The downtime, while not too long or frequent, is an area for improvement."
"In Adobe Workfront, there is a limit of 2,000 users that can be shown on a page. I would suggest increasing this to something around 10,000 so end users can search all objects more efficiently."
"ClickUp could improve by being customised to the development industry. We would like to have bug trackers and an agile approach built into the solution."
"It can be improved by making it more user-friendly."
"I would love to see ClickUp integrated with more tools, possibly like Microsoft Loop."
"One area that requires improvement would be the integration with existing systems, such as legacy systems and other project management software, where having the capability to import previously run projects into ClickUp would be beneficial."
"ClickUp's interface needs improvement."
"The tool is not user-friendly."
"ClickUp can improve the UI for mobile devices. For example, they are lacking some features in the Android version, such as Gantt charts."
"It would be good if the solution facilitated voice calls or an option to chat directly with a person on ClickUp."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Adobe purchased Workfront in the past year, and they're putting work into developing the platform, so I expect the price to rise. It isn't cheap, but it's reasonable for the value it provides. It isn't Monday.com where you pick a license with a set price, and you've got a project manager."
"Adobe Workfront is an expensive solution."
"The pricing is a barrier to implementation. It is expensive compared to other competitors. Speaking about licensing, they have a private manager license for $1000, which you can use for administration as well. Then they offer a worker license for $500, and then a reviewer or contributor license which is free."
"We are partners with Adobe, so we get the licensing at a cheaper rate."
"Speaking about pricing, I wouldn't recommend it to a smaller company because I do think the price point is higher than other solutions that can work."
"The pricing of Workfront is completely license based."
"The product is expensive."
"It's very affordable."
"The product has good pricing."
"The product’s cost is high."
"ClickUp is affordable."
"ClickUp’s pricing is better than Jira Align’s."
"This solution costs $20 per user per month. If you have 20 users, you would pay $400 per month. There are no hidden fees that we are aware of."
"I use the free version."
