Has significantly improved document-driven workflows and reduced processing time across finance and HR functions
Automation Anywhere has evolved significantly and upgraded itself to provide agentic AI and AI-based automation solutions for document automation. The product has matured considerably over time. We can create workflows that can call an API. We can include prompts in particular workflows for ChatGPT-related functions, connecting to an LLM and RAG to perform tasks. For document automation, modern features are available to train documents, ensuring high accuracy and repeatability over time. The system is very easy to use. I recently completed a course in document automation, typically designed for people involved in coding and technical aspects. Though I understand coding comprehensively, I don't do actual coding. The course was very accessible. Currently, extensive coding isn't necessary due to the hybrid model incorporating GenAI aspects, low-code, no-code capabilities, APIs, and numerous pre-built objects in Automation Anywhere. The features include GenAI-driven prompting methods and workflow creation capabilities. In these workflows, we can create decision boxes and call APIs without coding. We simply pull objects, drop them, connect them, and add minimal coding when needed. The most crucial aspect isn't coding but rather sizing the automation and fleshing out the details. Automation Co-pilot takes notes and performs automated analysis. It can extract details from videos, summarize conversations, and provide detailed information. During calls, it identifies instructions and performs tasks such as preparing reports and reconciliation. Automation Anywhere can also connect with Microsoft Co-pilot. Through Co-pilot, real-time operations can be executed, allowing direct interaction between vendors and automation through this component.

Automation has streamlined client data extraction and has improved reporting for business decisions
I work as a developer, and my manager is responsible for the research and analytics for the project with the client and business users. I am satisfied with BotFarm. I would rate my experience with BotFarm an eight out of ten. I do not see any room for improvement for BotFarm. I am using AI tools such as Amazon, Microsoft Azure, and ChatGPT. I am not using AI-powered bots in BotFarm. I am a partner with Automation Anywhere.

Implementation successfully automates operations but support response requires improvement
There are other INTELLIBOT products available in the market that are superior and have been around for a long time. ServiceNow's product could improve by increasing its promotion. Customer support could also be improved, as they are slow to respond and appear to have policies that do not provide sufficient support for partners. They expect partners to be self-sufficient, which seems unusual for a product company.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Automation Anywhere has a drag-and-drop feature eliminating the need for extensive coding."
"AA has good coverage in terms of out-of-the-box functionality for bot development and management."
"There are quite a few very strong features available to users."
"It is an easy product. It is easier and less complex than any other RPA tool in the market. It is a popular product."
"The recording feature accelerates the timeline of your implementation."
"It is a great product."
"As a tool, IQ Bot is easy to use, powerful, and very competitive compared to others."
"I found that the REST API commands are very useful and easy to use."
"The solution has a lot of great features inside of it that clients can take advantage of."
"The record option and the OCR technology have been great."
"One of the most valuable features is the solution's simple automation regarding object cloning and strings variables."
"Automation Anywhere provides a very flexible UI."
"Technical support is really good; when we have had issues, they have been able to help us and gave us several solutions based on the challenges that we were facing."
"The solution is very stable. We don't have issues with bugs or glitches."
"The system is stable and very little maintenance is required, assuming the bots process is perfectly designed."
"The solution is very manageable."
"For machine learning, there is an in-built document and text classification feature in INTELLIBOT. That is unlike other RPA tools where one needs to procure a separate license. Besides this, the application is easy to use. One valuable feature is the drag-and-drop feature for AI and email intelligence. It is easier than using UiPath's IQ bot."
"There's a helpful community available through the portal."
"The replay of the automation is an awesome feature."
"It is a stable product. We have been using it for 15 months now, and there have been no issues."
"I have found the most valuable feature to be the straightforward visual editor, it has close to no code required. It allowed us to deploy the email monitoring in this couple of weeks."
"The return on investment is pretty good because the license cost is cheaper than other RPA tools in the market."
"INTELLIBOT is booming in India right now and we have heard a lot of good things from customer testimony."
"This solution is easy to use and requires little coding knowledge."

Cons

"When comparing the code under version checks, although there is a change done, it doesn't say so because the change is done at the variable level and not in the line of code."
"PDF extraction and cognitive automation need improvement."
"The mobile application can be improved by adding more functions and capabilities because right now, only a few features are enabled for mobile users."
"When I change the name of a variable in the Variable Manager, I would really like it to change in the code."
"Automation Anywhere needs to improve the startup time, as it tends to lag at the beginning of the day."
"The certification exam for AA is not as per the training videos, as the questions are more scenario-based, which makes it very hard for beginners to clear the exam after just tutorial knowledge."
"It's somewhat pricier than some of the other tools that we've used, and the breakout between the different applications is also somewhat costly."
"From an ease of use point of view, on a scale of one to ten with ten being really easy, I would rate the tool a six."
"It is too expensive and not worth the price."
"I would definitely be wanting to see OCR features for improving the solution."
"I would like to see more process mining features to give us insight into them before we develop automation."
"An area for improvement in BotFarm is that the communication between the Control Room and the Bot Client Missions isn't utilized well. There's also the issue with PCI DSS compliance or certain regulations that require a set of configurations that are not fully supported by BotFarm. The product should be certified or designed according to the required regulations in the finance industry to make it better."
"Scalability is an area of improvement. We can increase the main features for our project but when we reached out to our personnel and asked whether Bot can be expanded, we were told "You cannot scale this Bot."
"I have called customer service three times and the experience has not been good. They do not offer 24/7 support, which forces us to wait till the next working day to solve a problem."
"I would like to have access to self-service support."
"The OCR tool, the optical character recognition tool, could be more efficient."
"The trigger actions need to be more robust."
"There are other INTELLIBOT products available in the market that are superior and have been around for a long time. ServiceNow's product could improve by increasing its promotion."
"The solution is heavily dependant on scripts, such as JavaScript or any other external script that needs to be a part of the system. If they want to grow, the scripting dependency should go away. They should have built-in libraries to pull in work from."
"I would like to see the cognitive marketing platform improved."
"The first pain point of INTELLIBOT was with the development. Whenever the company developed any command, they published it directly onto their SQL site, and our current automation got auto-updated. The second pain point was with the action set. It could be stronger. Moreover, if I am doing UiPath automation, I have to do it with the Internal Report for now."
"Has limited functionality and uses extensive resources."
"A couple of times, we noticed that some bugs caused the bot to go in the wrong flow."
"Currently, there are not many documents available on Google that explain each activity and how to use it or how to use the parameters and pass values."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The licensing cost is approximately $4,000 USD, which is a seed license."
"The cost of Automation Anywhere is high in Turkey due to the weak economy."

"Approximately, for a developer, it is around $750 for a license a year. For Bot Runners, it is about $550."
"One of the things that will be good for the community will be to get the free version to download, which came out just a month ago called Community Edition. So, you can actually download it and try it for yourself."
"We have a three-year contract with Automation Anywhere."
"The price for Automation Anywhere is reasonable."
"Automation Anywhere is expensive, making it suitable only for enterprise organizations."
