Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"Session recording, password rotation, and password vaulting are the most valuable features.""One of the most valuable features is that this is a product designed with enterprises in mind.""BeyondTrust Password Safe's features that I have found most valuable are really those that are knitted in. That is their Smart Rules and Smart Groups, where you design your administration model so you create your AD groups and your asset groups, and configure Password Safe."

"We only use the basic features and those are the ones that have the ability to tie into the app, the secrets, and the passwords and encrypt them.""The security on offer seems to be quite good.""The most valuable feature is the ability to store secrets securely and encrypt them. It is pretty easy and straightforward to use.""The most valuable features are ease of use and enabling our clients to manage keys.""Technical support is helpful.""The solution can scale up as needed.""All its features are really valuable. It's really well thought-out. It's a complete turnkey solution that has all the concerns taken care of, such as access control and management. You can use it in infrastructure as code to create key vaults, APIs, PowerShells, CLIs, even Terraform.""The GUI was quite easy for me to use."

Cons
"The only negative thing I can say is that BeyondTrust was recently bought by Bomgar and the marriage of the multiple companies coming together in the merger has caused a little bit of a hiccup right now in their software versions.""I think that BeyondTrust Password Safe could be improved with more testing. In the beginning, they were practically using customers as beta testers. Maybe the product has evolved since I last used it, but if you look at PAM, privileged access management, whatever's out there has already been done. I don't see there being any other enhancements that are being made regarding PAM, except to support more cloud-based applications.""Its documentation can be improved. Its documentation is currently complicated, and it is not good. It needs to be better. Their technical support can also be improved. It is not bad, but it can be better."

More BeyondTrust Password Safe Cons →

"I would like more code examples.""I can see that other people are doing the infrastructure as code, they are able to easily manage and cycle their passwords as needed using their own interface they created. It would be nice if Microsoft provided more guidance in that area.""The integration with Thales HSM is complex and is not out-of-the-box. Uploading the keys was quite a tedious process.""Azure needs to provide versions of Key Vault that are suitable for different sizes of companies.""It needs to offer dynamic secrets management.""Azure has great documentation, but I would like to see more use cases pertaining to specific industries. For example, case studies on how to use HIPAA compliant solutions in the healthcare industry or how to use PCI compliant data analytics solutions in the financial technology industry would be helpful.""While the solution already does a great job of managing keys, the solution could probably look at maybe expanding more into mobile devices and endpoints.""The initial setup could be less complex for first-time users."
