Allows for storage optimization and archiving functionality of DocAve Backup is valuable for organizations with large amounts of data
Setting it up, it gets stuff happening that's easy, but you need to be very specific on what type of data you should migrate, and why, and when, and so on and so forth. So it's not like the cloud backup feature, which is two minutes. It's a bit more to take into consideration because when you move the data, it's out of the tenant. It's not an issue getting it back to the tenant; that's super easy. But it's better to do it right from the beginning. So it takes a bit more thought power.

Reliable rollback features for smooth IT operations and an easy setup
We are using Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 to take backups of shop floor PCs. I use it for clients locally, particularly for critical machines. It is also used globally for server-side backups and includes scheduling features like taking ten backups every Sunday when the factory is closed. This…

Pros

"Backup and Restore for SharePoint & Microsoft Office 365 is easy to use."
"The solution has good scalability."
"The stability has always been very good."
"The most valuable feature includes leaving the stub files behind and integrating that with the recenter feature."
"The most critical feature of Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 is its ability to back up and protect data on cloud services."
"We are able to store it on various cloud providers such as Amazon S3, Rocket, Azure, and IBM Cloud. It can also do on-premise integration, and we are able to use storage from on-premise. We are also able to recover data. It is a really good and intuitive solution. Veeam has developed a fantastic product. I've never seen anything that I don't like about Veeam. It looks like a very complete solution. It is really mature, simple to use, and quite interrogative. It also has APIs for writing scripts."
"The setup is very simple. It takes 15 minutes."
"The most valuable features of the solution are the scalability and the free license of up to ten VMs."
"It is very simple to set up."
"The tool is easy to use and straightforward regarding restoration and creating backups. It's user-friendly, providing results and sending alerts when something goes wrong."
"I believe the solution is very scalable. We can continuously add mailboxes and sites."
"I have used the technical support a few times and they've been reasonably helpful."

Cons

"The user experience needs a little refreshing touch."
"The solution's updates and rollouts of the patches cause a lot of problems."
"We need more options for the backup schedule."
"I think the solution itself keeps up with everything else. Sometimes it would be nice if they could move a little bit quicker and have faster updates, but in terms of the features, it's absolutely fine and adequate."
"The customer service and support response time can be improved."
"It's a new product. It's not mature."
"Currently, I'm working for Huawei and they dropped the support for Huawei, so that's an issue for us."
"Pricing is an area for improvement, and I would rate it at five out of ten."
"While Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 is a highly convenient product, there is room for improvement in its integration with Microsoft 365."
"One area that needs improvement is the pricing of Veeam Backup, as it can be expensive at twenty-eight dollars per user for one year."
"We have found that there is a limitation in this solution where it only takes the backup of users who are using Office 365 Enterprise email IDs. We have many users in management and approximately 50 other users who are using Office 365 of which Veeam is able to capture the backup. However, for the other users who are on the local email server at that time, the solution is not able to capture the backup."
"If it could rebuild the data without pulling down the entire chunk, it would be an improvement."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Regarding CloudArchiver, you purchase per terabyte."
"The solution’s pricing is expensive."
"The solution could also be cheaper."
"It is not the cheapest solution in the market."
"We looked at a few cloud options. When we did the comparison, we found it to be a cost-effective solution, and it included everything."
"I think it's a fair price. It's around $36 per user, so I think it's a fair price for our customers."
"There is an annual license required and a per-user fee for this solution."
"The solution is not expensive."
"The pricing model makes this solution more expensive than it needs to be."
"We are talking about a third party solution, so there is a licensing fee."
"I'm not sure about the price, but I think it could be lower."
