Uses a policy-based approach to control access to data, SmartGuard intercepts user requests for access to large data stores, and dynamically applies powerful policies. These policies are fine-grained and features dynamic filtering and dynamic data masking for datasets, tables, columns, rows and cells.
Data Masker can be used to mask data on any server that will run a SQL Server database. Data Masker is server neutral. It connects via the Microsoft supplied ADO software to the target database. The server side operating system is largely irrelevant to it.
