Utilize auto-scaling and monitoring to efficiently manage application infrastructure
The key features of AWS Elastic Beanstalk include auto-scaling capabilities for applications experiencing traffic fluctuations, ensuring high availability and cost-effectiveness. AWS Elastic Beanstalk integrates with AWS CloudWatch to provide metrics like latency and CPU utilization, allowing easy monitoring of application performance. It supports multiple programming languages and frameworks, supports multi-environment for different stages of the application lifecycle, and is cost-effective as you pay based on the resources launched.

Ability to create different connections, multi-tenant architecture but slow execution of commands
There are a lot of features in Oracle Developer. You can create tables, users, views, materialized views. You can also do data pump jobs to export jobs, export databases and dump files, create backup jobs, that sort of thing. Users can usually integrate this tool with other solutions for development or management processes. There are different connections you can create. For example, with Office applications, you can connect to the database. Or if you're programming in Java, you can use a JDK connection to retrieve data from the database and read, store, or update records. For security, everything's perfect. You can use an SSH connection if you're accessing a server in the cloud, or you just have a normal IP connection if you're running your database on the local network.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Elastic Beanstalk is helpful and easy to manage services, even when dealing with multiple clients."
"One of the most valuable aspects is that developers can access logs directly. They can download them from the AWS console within Elastic Beanstalk."
"I find the versioning to be especially valuable on AWS Elastic Beanstalk."
"The management of environments is a valuable feature."
"Elastic Beanstalk, based on my experience and recommendations from friends, is a good solution."
"Elastic Beanstalk helps reduce system administration as it automates many tasks."
"The simplicity in the speed of provisioning users is what I like best about Elastic Beanstalk."
"I would rate the overall solution a ten out of ten."
"The APEX solution is the most interesting part of the Oracle Developer Service. APEX is the most cost-effective and most popular service for developers. Kubernetes and Docker services are also important and very much cost-effective, and helpful for developers. If we compare Oracle to other cloud services providers, they'll also be cost-effective. The financial involvement is also a good point because other cloud services charge for Docker and Kubernetes solutions. Oracle's offering is almost free. They only charge for the VM or virtual machine. This is also an interesting part for the developers as well."
"With the multi-tenant architecture, you can migrate many databases to one instance. This saves a lot of money and administrative work."
"The solution's technical support is really good."

Cons

"AWS Elastic Beanstalk could improve its auto-scaling feature to better detect potential AI-based attacks or misuses that could lead to unexpected costs."
"Maybe the company could create more option packages, such as more bundles of configuration."
"From what I've observed, it seems AWS has ceased further development on Elastic Beanstalk."
"There are areas for improvement in Elastic Beanstalk, especially in the management part."
"Elastic Beanstalk can enhance its customizability further, especially in terms of deployment options."
"Sometimes it is difficult to use for the first time. The automatic scaling functionality could use improvement."
"One area where AWS Elastic Beanstalk struggles is with the complexity of deployments. As deployments become more complex, technical constraints can become a burden."
"Sometimes there are issues when auto-scaling with CloudFront."
"t would be better if the open-source databases were managed. Some managed services for open-source databases are available in other cloud solutions, but Oracle doesn't have any. They should provision more managed services for open-source databases like MongoDB and PostgreSQL. These types of managed database services should be available in Oracle Cloud Service and others. There are other technical issues like the CDN network that is not directly configured to Oracle and needs support from a third party. There are also some services available in AWS and Azure that should be included in Oracle Cloud Service."
"Improvements are needed in terms of the usage of the map chart and risk management services."
"Sometimes, I lose the cursor in the editor, and it disappears for no reason. It's hard to guess where I'm in the text, and I feel a bit lost."
