With AWS Cost Explorer, we can perform cost planning, generate recommendations, and provide clients with suggestions for resizing. This feature includes data filtering and protection, offering users insights into spending patterns through AWS spending patterns and planning tools. The product is easy to learn."

Cons
"We need finer-grained control over the roles and policies for users, specifying their permissions as to what they can look at.""I would like to see AWS Cost Management be more precise in their calculations.""There could be an option to build custom dashboards for the platform.""The solution needs to improve the communication mechanism available to the stakeholders.""This program is not very scalable.""Data transfer between S3 buckets within AWS incurs costs, especially when moving data from one bucket to another or downloading data.""I would like to see the forecasting models improved with AWS Cost Management.""The solution needs to have its own dashboard for seeing details on it. It should be customizable as well so I have the ability to pull up the information I need to see and have it in one place for my reference. I should just be able to click and see everything I need in one step."

More AWS Cost Management [EOL] Cons →

"I would like to see some features included for costing and more information about the components of deployment. Sometimes, it's very difficult to match the component with the solution because the descriptions are not very clear.""We would like to see more flexibility added to this solution, such as being able to compare reservations, or compare costs across multiple financial years and report on the reasons for deviation in spend.""I haven't detected anything that needs improvement, but any solution could be improved.""The solution needs an automated dashboard and better reporting.""The tool's pricing should be made cheaper.""The initial setup is a little bit complex.""The solution's technical support should be faster, more knowledgeable, and customer-friendly.""There are significant issues with Power BI integration at the moment, particularly with built-in applications for course management. Multiple features don't allow for efficient report generation. This is one primary concern. The second issue relates to reporting, even when using Power BI templates for course management. There are problems with data import that require manual entry. So, these are the two main challenges I'm currently facing. Another matter to consider is the removal of the markup option for partners. I'm not sure if it will be added back, but it used to allow marking up Azure usage for enterprise customers. I'm uncertain if there's an alternative way to achieve the same function. Partners need to mark up services when selling to customers, and it's currently unavailable for some products or services."
