Boosts deployment efficiency with seamless automatic scaling capabilities
My primary use case for Auto Scaling is mainly to deploy applications at scale Auto Scaling has made the deployment of applications more efficient, allowing us to manage traffic and maintain performance as user counts increase. Auto Scaling is a cool feature that works well and its automatic…

It speeds up incident response by automating alerts and ticket creation
When configuring a dashboard, we can write search criteria. Based on the search criteria, the dashboard shows all the alerts, including the alert time, creation time, and a summary description of the alert. When you add an extra column, such as the user that triggered the alert, the next time he refreshes the dashboard, he wants to know that the alert is acknowledged. We want to improve that comment feature. In the Service Analyzer, we monitor the network infrastructure services and have a KPI for each service. When the value exceeds the threshold value, we can add the colors. For example, we can set it to green when the threshold value is within the limit. If it is red, then the value has passed the threshold. We want more colors in the service analyzer to display all these features.

"The product provides self-healing features."
"AWS Auto Scaling is very good for managing traffic and creating new instances when necessary."
"Our internal business applications are hosted in AWS Auto Scaling."
"It helps us to reduce the cost."
"When a lot of traffic comes into our organization, the product scales our instances based on our environment’s requirements."
"The most valuable feature of the solution is that it scales automatically without manual intervention based on the metrics we provide."
"The various scaling options available, such as step scaling, are particularly useful."
"The solution is easy to scale."
"Having worked closely with Splunk support engineers, I've observed their high capabilities in resolving issues."
"Splunk ITSI offers a valuable visualization tree that allows us to map and analyze dependencies and co-dependency within our environment."
"We liked the built-in calculation of health scores."
"The solution has been stable."
"The most valuable features are the service analyzer and Glass Tables."
"The solution's most valuable feature is the aggregation of the metrics and the relative ease of getting them away from search."
"Splunk's intuitive interface and scalability make it accessible to non-technical users, and its capacity to monitor every millisecond of data across multiple applications is truly impressive."

Cons

"There hasn't been a need for improvements."
"Flexibility in configuring the workload is missing in AWS Auto Scaling."
"The tool must include AI features."
"Setting up the configuration involves too much work for the cloud engineer."
"The solution's infrastructure scalability and elasticity could be improved."
"The product could add more features for managing instances."
"Setting up the configuration involves too much work for the cloud engineer, like configuring the ALB, the target group, and all the steps."
"AWS Auto Scaling's documentation could be better."
"Splunk ITSI generates numerous false positives and has the potential for enhancement."
"Quality-of-life features have room for improvement."
"While Splunk has existing add-ons, they are unreliable and do not provide accurate results."
"There should be entity conflict resolution, specifically regarding duplicate entities. There should be case sensitivity for various keys amongst entities, specifically host names. We need IT metrics-based indexes and more content packs. I know they are coming out with these features"
"ITSI could benefit from a security model that would allow operations team members to get involved in model building, KPI implementation, and model maintenance, while maintaining appropriate segregation of duties."
"They should make it easier to use. Many people are new to it. It is hard and has a steep learning curve."
"We experience occasional delays in receiving solutions from Splunk technical support. Splunk's support for P3 cases seems inadequate, as they frequently switch support personnel. For instance, in a single P3 case, we had three different technical support representatives assigned. We were ultimately forced to escalate the issue to our account manager to get it resolved. In essence, we never receive complete support from a single point of contact; instead, the support team keeps changing, necessitating us to explain the problem from scratch each time."
"When configuring a dashboard, we can write search criteria. Based on the search criteria, the dashboard shows all the alerts, including the alert time, creation time, and a summary description of the alert. When you add an extra column, such as the user that triggered the alert, the next time he refreshes the dashboard, he wants to know that the alert is acknowledged. We want to improve that comment feature."

"I would prefer that the price be reduced, as it would be easier to implement it and to sell it."
"Splunk ITSI is an expensive tool, and we need to purchase the utility license."
"Splunk ITSI is expensive; however, with the appropriate use case, it justifies the cost."
"Splunk ITSI is expensive."
"The pricing of Splunk is a bit high."
"Splunk ITSI is a pay-per-use service that is priced fairly based on the amount of data we use."
"It is interesting. I am not involved that much lately, but if I recall correctly, you license primarily on the volume of data that you are using in Splunk ITSI, but there is no way Splunk can ever check if that is true, so that is interesting. We are not doing it, but someone can pretend to just use 10%, and it would be super cheap. It is tricky, but it is more tricky for Splunk than for us."
