Video meetings and presentation sharing impress but user-friendliness and pricing need attention
I don't have experience with how Avaya Spaces handles integration with other software tools, but perhaps my partners have experience regarding integration with different vendors. If Avaya can integrate Spaces with other media solutions, such as WhatsApp or WeChat, it will be more friendly and useful for customers or partners.

One suggestion I would make for improving Slack Business - Enterprise is the support of multimedia such as images and videos that we can easily share through Slack. That would be great. Additionally, another thing is AI integration; if Slack has some AI capabilities to get insights about conversations or summarization, that would be a great feature. If Slack has an AI feature that can summarize a particular Slack thread and provide a summary of that, that would be a great feature for us. I would rate it a ten if it comes with some AI features, particularly using generative AI to produce summarization and other kinds of insights from communication in a more secure, data-secure way.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Stability for Avaya Spaces is quite good, and I would rate it a 9."
"The microphone's noise cancellation and static feature that record a human's voice are some of the most valuable features."
"We use the solution for document sharing, video conferencing, instant messaging, and file sharing."
"Slack Business - Enterprise has had a positive impact on our organization with better communication, provides faster response times, fewer emails, and has helped create a more agile company."
"Slack offers several valuable features. Firstly, they have a message deletion feature, which is now available in other software as well, but Slack was the one who introduced it in enterprise solutions."
"Slack's categorization of content and the availability of channels are highly valuable, as they keep communications organized."
"Slack is a collaboration tool where you can create specific topic-related channels and manage different threads on different talks so people can interact and maintain a chat."
"It is good; it is one of the best ones out there, and when you're partnering with teams outside your organization, you can't really do without Slack because it becomes a necessity."
"For projects, it's improved how we share files."
"The quick line of communication, most certainly improves the functionality of our organization."
"Slack kept several remote employees working cohesively and seamlessly together, allowing us to more easily synchronize our efforts and work collaboratively rather than islands unto ourselves, so to speak."

Cons

"There were some additional features coming up, as they informed us through email. But we didn't get any update on them."
"The initial setup for Avaya Spaces is very good for me, but for sharing with other users, the setup is a little bit complex compared to other solutions I have used, such as Zoom or Teams, as the installation is more complex."
"The audio calling service needs to improve its quality."
"Slack's screen sharing might also add the remote control feature, which is not there."
"I think Slack could add additional features without making the solution slower or more difficult to use."
"The tool should be able to fetch a conversation when we search for it even if it is in the thread."
"It would be highly advantageous if it could incorporate calendar information from sources like Outlook or Gmail, providing users not only with meeting schedules but also a comprehensive daily agenda view."
"I would like to have meeting functionality within Slack."
"The solution should have less frequent updates."
"Their notifications are generally not very prompt. There is a problem with their notification engine, and sometimes, I end up pressing on notifications."
"The mobile app needs improvement. It consistently misses notifications."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The license grants you a subscription and costs about $120. I am not aware of additional costs."
"I would rate the tool's pricing a four out of ten."
"The pricing can range up to about twenty bucks a user. You can spend a lot of money, especially if you're talking about thousands of users. Generally speaking, Slack is less expensive than Teams. Slack doesn't include all the bells and whistles that Teams does. So you can go from a $6 license in Microsoft 365 to a $50 license per user per month, and there's a lot more you can do in the $50 license."
"It is less expensive than one of its competitors."
"The tool's pricing could be cheaper."
"It is an expensive tool. We pay 15 to 20 USD monthly per user."
"The solution’s pricing is cheap."
"The solution is cheap in my country."
"When it comes to pricing, it is on the expensive side."
