Have streamlined daily workflow and task management but still face inconvenience from recent interface changes and limited integration options
There are challenges and issues in Microsoft Teams, such as after recent updates where group chats were combined with Teams, chats, and groups into one. Users have to work with settings to make it normal again so Teams are separated from chats, and that was a really inconvenient update. Many users ask me to help make it back again to separate Teams and groups from one-to-one chats. That's probably the worst update they've made recently. Additionally, there are some minor features, such as when I work with messages, I don't have an actual forward or quote option when replying to someone's message. I need to be careful not to miss the quote sign. For a lot of people, they are confused about where the quotes option is. I've received a couple of hundred support tickets just regarding this issue. The function to share email to Teams chat doesn't work sometimes due to our compliance policies, and sometimes it would be nice to be able to forward an email to the group chat and have further discussions. Microsoft Teams could improve by being less glitchy because it glitches a lot, leading to undelivered emails and undelivered messages. It would be beneficial if the MS application Shifts, which adds functionality to groups, could be integrated into the groups calendar. Currently, many teams don't use the app because it is not integrated with the general calendar or the Outlook calendar, making it basically a useless application. The platform needs less Copilot and more people. The general Copilot integration into the platform is less glitchy, but Microsoft Teams is quite heavy and glitchy sometimes. Stability depends a lot on compliance restrictions, policies, and quality of internet. Sometimes, when updates are enrolling, the platform glitches, breaks, or shuts down.

Pros

"I like the share information function."
"In terms of functionality, it has some interesting features that I haven't seen in other solutions like content rewind where you can see content from the beginning of the meeting even though you weren't there when it commenced."
"I can say firsthand that the reason we work with Avaya as a user and as a business partner is because it's by far the most stable and scalable platform among unified communications platforms in the market."
"We use the solution for team collaboration, document sharing, and video conferencing services. It integrates well with on-premises video conferencing systems and supports chatting through text messaging and instant messaging."
"It is very easy to jump from one communication channel to another one. It is pretty clear and very easy to do. That is the thing that I like the most from Avaya and their suite."
"Interesting collaboration features."
"The solution's most valuable feature is connecting calls to concerned people anytime. It works much faster."
"The most valuable feature of the solution is its newest rolled-out feature, called the town hall meeting feature."
"I find the ability to maintain group and conference information for project-related work useful."
"Microsoft Teams has helped us improve collaboration through the use of chats, as well as conferencing, voice calls, knowledge management, and maintaining a repository."
"Through Copilot searches, we get to see versions or details around those topics, making it really easy to interact with other fellow colleagues from the same company and get in touch with them to find out more details."
"Teams integrates with a lot of our technologies, especially features like the Teams channels."
"The tool's integration with OneNote and Power BI is good. The current version of Microsoft Teams is significantly more user-friendly compared to previous versions. I find it easy to handle any user needs and provide assistance. The device installation process is straightforward, and configuring it for users is not complicated. This seamless and user-friendly experience makes it easy to connect with everyone."
"I am actively using Planner, which is very convenient because I can have all of my tasks from projects, from different boards, from my personal list; I have everything in one list and I can filter and divide and prioritize."

Cons

"There isn't too much information about Avaya solutions and that could be very much improved. If you want some product support, you have to go through a business partner in Latin America and there aren't many partners."
"Increase in participant numbers reduces quality of video and sound."
"Avaya IX Meetings' deployment is complex."
"The installation could be more straightforward. I would like it to work with other meeting software in the next release."
"Unfortunately, the video conferencing, both audio and video were not as good as Webex or Microsoft."
"Microsoft Teams should include the possibility of creating questionnaires or polls during webinars, whereby the people watching can answer the questionnaires in real time."
"The tool's AI feature works well for English. However, it should also work for other languages, such as Vietnamese."
"The product is immature and lacks some of the features and functionality you would expect in a collaboration tool."
"The mobile application needs improvement. There are a lot of features on the web and desktop versions that aren't implemented yet on mobile."
"When it comes to downloading several documents or sharing documents that are above 450 KB, it takes time."
"There are a lot of frequent updates, which is a shortcoming of the tool."
"As an instant messenger, Teams is not as good as Lync."
"We have experienced response delays with the product. It can be hard to understand where to click in the solution. Also, the solution should incorporate videos like 'How to use Teams' that can be popularized among customers."
