Editing features improve document accessibility
There is a holiday calendar, however, I need to install an app or add something to it. The add-on feature is not readily available or well-documented. Guidance on this should be available in a forum. Recently, I used a feature in another tool—perhaps GitHub—where it helped prepare a chart. It involved listing resources, like having fifteen people in the X team, ten in the Y team, and seven in the Z team. It created a bar chart showing these numbers. This chart used AI to offer users the option to create it based on the data. It was then created on a separate page and made available.

Offers good integration features but needs to offer more flexibility in the language option offered
There are a couple of things that can be improved in the tool. When we are talking about communications, the tool has interoperable cataloging. The only thing that needs a certain level of improvement within Meta is the vernacular, which can be dependent, as we cannot choose the process of communication that is happening in it. After I launch a bot, if I move from one country to another, and if the entire communication is happening in German, while I have just moved from France, and I need to buy a particular choice of vehicle, then I would want the entire communication to happen in my language. What Meta does not allow as of now is that if I am reaching out to you in French, then only you can have the conversation in French. You cannot select a language in the middle of a conversation. If I want to have a conversation in French, there is a very limited selection. Until and unless a conversation is triggered from a particular language, we do not have the option to choose another language. The tool gives you flexibility in the language, but that is on the business and not on the customer, which sometimes limits the approachability aspect.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Confluence is very easy to use and feature-packed."
"The most beneficial aspect is real-time collaboration, allowing multiple users to work on the same documents simultaneously."
"The customization that Confluence offers is one of its most useful features. You can customise it based on the specific project you are working on. It also supports multiple languages."
"Copying another page and providing an option to edit everything is valuable."
"I think that it is one of the best products on the market from my experience."
"Great shareable and co-editing features."
"We value the way we can tag documentation to Jira because we can cross-reference a Jira ticket to a Confluence page, and we can also add a Confluence page to a Jira ticket."
"With respect to our experiences with Confluence, we haven't had any issues."
"The product was easy to use."
"The tool's integration feature benefited the workflow...it helped centralize communication."
"The solution is used as a knowledge platform for sharing knowledge and information that everybody can easily access."
"A full-featured collaboration tool that is as easy to use as Facebook."
"Storage is the best thing about the solution."

Cons

"They can improve the table feature of Confluence. It is currently not adequate."
"The solution is not very user-friendly."
"The dashboards should be improved."
"Atlassian should rethink its withdrawal of the self-hosted version of the product. They only offer cloud-based service or the "datacenter-edition", which is quite expensive for small companies and private users."
"The software does not currently have any kind of AI integration."
"It lacks ease of integration."
"There could be an option to collaborate with other users while editing the documents."
"I would like to see more macros provided by the company included in the license."
"The product should allow users to assign tasks and automate processes."
"The implementation could be made easier."
"The conferencing feature does not work well with multiple parties or locations."
"What Meta does not allow as of now is that if I am reaching out to you in French, then only you can have the conversation in French. You cannot select a language in the middle of a conversation."
"There needs to be a restriction on who can download content."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The product is neither cheap nor expensive, meaning its price falls somewhere in the mid-range zone."
"We pay $350 a month to use the solution."
"There is an annual license."
"The Confluence pricing is good. The only challenge we have experienced is with Jira and the add ons we use that need to be paid for separately."
"In my opinion, it's worth the investment"
"Pricing wise, it ends up being an expensive solution. In the beginning it's cheap, but by the time you have all the functions you need, it turns out to be expensive."
"To my knowledge, Atlassian Confluence had a pricing approach which is a commercial open-source solution, so that if you are a company, you had to pay an amount. This fee was not huge compared to other traditional solutions, and it was free for personal use or if you were an individual."
"There are some cases where you can go on Confluence as a public site without a license, but you will not have all of the features. You can also have a Confluence site that does not require a license just to read the articles. When you have Jira Service Management attached to Confluence, then you can go through the portal of Jira Service Management and read the Confluence articles without the license. This is good because when you are in an ITSM environment, you have many customers, and you do not want them to have to pay just to read articles. Regarding the use of the full features of Confluence, there is a license cost, and it depends on how many users you want."
"The cost has become one-tenth of the cost in comparison to the old techniques. As we were able to qualify and nurture these leads, the overall cost of the entire sales process was reduced."
"The solution seemed expensive to me."
"The regular package costs us $4 per user per month."
