We have a solution that is completely Aruba, including the controller, access point, and switch. We deploy ClearPass from Aruba in our company on VMware, which integrates well and works without issues. Aruba Remote Access Points are critical for our construction company because we have many sites…

Modular security has protected remote access and simplifies endpoint compliance management
The most valuable feature in Citrix Gateway is the securable, modular solution. The most useful behaviors that Citrix has is that you can secure the applications and all the infrastructure in a modular way. You can segment the securization in groups, allowing you to do a lot of things. Citrix Gateway is really strong and secure for the companies to have the Endpoint Analysis feature configured. You can configure this to check what the company needs to be checked. Companies need to authorize some devices to check if antivirus can accomplish the necessities of the company. The final appliance is really secure for accessing the company's network resources. You have many ways to maintain security protocols. One way is using Citrix Gateway, and another is the Citrix policies where you can configure many things in desktops and applications published for the company.

"The stability and performance of Aruba Remote Access Points with minimal issues in an IT environment are worth a recommendation."
"The solution is very stable, I haven’t heard about any failure of the access points, it seems to be reliable and the performance is good, there are no bugs or glitches, and it doesn’t crash or freeze."
"The Aruba Remote Access Points are simple, not expensive, and very intuitive for management and configuration."
"This solution is widely adopted and involves both technology and non-technical devices. It is robust, except in cases of significant power outages."
"It is a very stable tool."
"Overall, I would rate Aruba Remote Access Points nine out of ten. I can definitely recommend them to other users."
"Its ease of use and how everybody can easily work through it are the most valuable features."
"Citrix primarily provides secure connectivity. If you need secure remote desktop functionality, it is a viable option."
"The technical support is very responsive and fast"
"The stability of the solution is perfect."
"For our use case, it was scalable. There were at least 25 end users using this solution from remote locations. And once the connection was established, there weren't any complaints."
"Just creating that gateway to the storefront for Citrix is the most valuable aspect of the solution for us."
"The solution is very stable. If I were to rate it out of ten, I would give stability a nine."
"We haven't received any complaints or performance issues so far."

Cons

"Its scalability capabilities should be improved."
"To make the solution better, the cloud solution should be more integrated as it has too many different menus, and it would be preferable to have it more cohesive in one solution."
"I use the controller when using Aruba Remote Access Points, particularly during configuration. Hence, room for improvement in Aruba Remote Access Points is for its web UI to be easier to control."
"It would help if the remote APs had some kind of SoHo environment with built-in firewall features. That way it could connect directly in a client-to-site type of environment, or a site-to-site VPN environment. That way users could have a complete office setup without coming to the private cloud."
"They can add more graphical reporting systems so that network admins and system admins get more information about user usage, such as which user, what they use, and when they use it."
"The remote access point coverage should be bigger than it is now."
"The solution's technical support has some shortcomings that need improvement."
"One thing that would be beneficial is for the Aruba Central mobile app to work more effectively. Currently, it does not function as expected when I really need it."
"Citrix Gateway could improve the speed of the VPN. I sometimes have to wait for 10 to 15 minutes to get connected and other times when I am connected I have to abort, and reconnect."
"Citrix Gateway has a lot of limitations, cloud limitations as a starting point."
"If there is an increase in the customer infrastructure, it is not stable."
"We have experienced issues relating to multi-factor authentication."
"Its interface could be made a lot easier. It is very kludgy."
"The major issue is price. I would also like them to make other aspects more accessible."
"Their VAS product should be more productive because right now, we are using other VAS solutions but not using this one."
"Usually, with Citrix the issue is the pricing, especially for the African region. We believe it's really expensive."

"There is a need to make yearly payments for licensing purposes. Also, it is not an expensive one."
"Pricing is very high if you do a comparison with what is available in the market."
"There are two or three different models, but you can actually have a CapEx where you purchase the unit outright and then there's a yearly maintenance cost on top for years two and three, and four, or you can actually do a subscription purchase through Citrix cloud and you pay on a monthly basis, or you can have a three-year subscription contract as well. I give the solution a six out of ten for its cost."
"The solution has a yearly licensing fee."
"I believe the pricing is comparable to SaaS"
"It is expensive and requires proper planning with strategy."
"Usually with Citrix the issue is the pricing, especially for the African region. We believe it's really expensive."
