A great tool for managing multiple databases and centralizing them in one place
It's a very generic tool and could be more specific for certain types of DBMS. While it does have some specific tooling, like for Oracle, there are features for certain databases that can't be found because of its general nature. For example, tools tailored to specific databases, like Firebase, might offer features such as cache configuration directly within the tool. Other vendors, like Artisan, provide functionality that's specific to certain configurations. Improving its cloud capabilities could also be beneficial.

Performance issues have been identified and monitored effectively during peak hours
The weaknesses I would like to address in Oracle Enterprise Manager involve the dealing of Grid Infrastructure. Oracle Enterprise Manager's handling of Grid Infrastructure needs some improvement. I want to see additional features in the future that deal with security in relation to Oracle Grid Infrastructure. I want to improve these two components.

"It's very insightful when it comes to what you can check healthwise on a database."
"I think it provides value for the money; it definitely helps us be proactive in our database administrating, because we don't have to spend time reacting to everything and can find out where the problem is before our customer even realizes they have a problem."
"It allows me to manage resources effectively and monitor active sessions."

Cons

"Improving its cloud capabilities could also be beneficial."
"Enterprise Manager is not easy or for the faint of heart. It is extremely robust, and hence very complicated to set up and maintain."
"The solution's agents work with Java, and the Java code sometimes consumes a lot of memory on the CPU."
"Customer service: Fair, when needed."
"It was a very, very complicated product to set up."
"I would say mostly backup and recovery, through the Enterprise Manager. Or any corruptions, to be able to fix them through Enterprise Manager."
"Customer Service: Appalling, raised issues with support and that take ages to respond.Technical Support: Appalling; they take far too long to understand the issue, they just simply appear to read scripts; if our problem is not on the script; then they struggle to think."
"In my opinion, rather than a younger DBA, think the user interface could be improved."
"It can be a process hog sometimes."
