Simplifies payroll processing and reduces the need for extensive marketing efforts while providing scalability, compliance, and excellent stability
I believe there is room for enhancement in the scope of services. We encountered challenges at times in clearly defining it, particularly because the firewall domain is extensive and demands localization for this service. Consequently, there is occasional confusion regarding whether a service falls under the standard category or is considered an add-on. I think there is a need for a deeper level of comprehension.

HR has gained clear analytics for attrition, goals, and appraisals and manages talent efficiently
SAP SuccessFactors has a low error rate. We had many ad hoc reports that we needed to generate, and it was very easy to do so in SAP SuccessFactors. We also created many in-house reports according to our specific requirements with the help of this tool, which was a really big game changer for us. We did not depend on advanced Excel in those cases. We generated a lot of detailed reports whenever we needed them during emergency cases or board meetings. A lot of usefulness and time were saved in those cases. I will also mention that we conducted a comparative study for some recruitment cases. We had a recruitment model where we were looking for a very niche profile. Since the job profile was really different and rare, we had to depend on analytics to understand and shortlist from a large pool of candidates that we already had in our database. Analytics was really helpful in this situation.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The product allows you to create and manage shared services centrally even in small countries."
"The product is good, user-friendly, and effective."
"They are very strong in terms of having a central regional system, where a regional person can see and monitor the calendar for each different country and know what stage they are in, if the process has been finalized and approved, and if the process has gone back to the bank, all monitored regionally."
"I like the reporting feature as it allows me to generate reports independently without relying on a payroll consultant."
"The most valuable feature was that everything was in one system."
"The advantage was that ADP Streamline was inherently designed to serve as a marketing engine for the company."
"The ability to have one reporting for all countries is valuable."
"SAP SuccessFactors integrated solution, allows us to start the process from a recruitment marketing perspective and have our career site and candidate profile pull through into each other."
"The tool's most valuable feature is document generation."
"All of SuccessFactors' features are useful, but there are several modules within SuccessFactors that I find handy. You have Employee Central, which manages employee records within the system. It manages all the information about an employee, including names, addresses, account numbers, positions, org charts, etc. It also handles performance reviews and KPIs for employees within an organization. Then you have succession planning and development as well."
"This solution has always been stable for me."
"The solution is very much stable."
"SAP SuccessFactors has positively impacted our organization as attrition has decreased, employee satisfaction in terms of help desk processes has improved, and the data transition from Excel, PowerPoint, or Tableau has become much more real-time."
"They say nothing is perfect, but honestly, the SuccessFactors product is essentially perfect in my eyes."
"It has improved the way my organization functions by introduction of self service and consolidation of processes."

Cons

"We had to scrap plans to integrate Brazil because it was not doable."
"The pricing is high as compared with other products in the market. For a small service that is out of scope, it has a huge service charge."
"I think there is a need for a deeper level of comprehension."
"Having more clear guidance on design and training would be beneficial."
"The product is not quite up to our expectations."
"The UI could be improved to be a bit more modern or trendy because it looks old-fashioned compared to other systems."
"They could improve the service relationship manager (SRM), because they have an SRM which is not familiar with Simple."
"The reporting tool could be improved as it currently is just a data dump and much manipulation is required."
"There are some limiting aspects to this product."
"Analytics could use some work."
"One area of improvement is the time taken to configure changes, such as taxation rules, which can take several months."
"The analytics capabilities are not very in-depth. While you can get reports, there are limitations when retrieving specific data such as questions from SCORM 1.2 or 2004; the system can only retrieve answers but not questions."
"The integration with Employee Central and Employee Central Payroll needs improvement as the client is still considering on-premises solutions."
"The price of the solution could improve, it is too high."
"One of the most essential features that needs improvement right now is the reporting functionality. SuccessFactors' reports seem to be lagging a bit behind and we are very interested in customizing the reporting mechanism such that it pushes reports through quickly and automatically."
"The user experience could be simplified."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Our company had a standardized pricing model based on the number of employees."
"The amount we pay is not low, and it is not high. It is average."
"We are on an annual subscription to use SAP SuccessFactors. The pricing model is something that they could restructure a bit better. If it was based differently on the type of usage it would help."
"It is not cheap, but it is reasonable."
"The price of the solution is highly expensive."
"Our costs for the solution are subsidized by our parent company, I am not aware of the exact cost because of this. However, we pay $50,000 annually. If we move to another solution it will be more expensive."
"The product is expensive. The product is worth the money you pay for it."
"Probably, it is one of the priciest products, and is very costly to put up and maintain but because it is a good solution end to end, people take it."
"The cost of SAP SuccessFactors is reasonable."
"I rate the tool's pricing a seven to eight out of ten."
