Simplifies payroll processing and reduces the need for extensive marketing efforts while providing scalability, compliance, and excellent stability
I believe there is room for enhancement in the scope of services. We encountered challenges at times in clearly defining it, particularly because the firewall domain is extensive and demands localization for this service. Consequently, there is occasional confusion regarding whether a service falls under the standard category or is considered an add-on. I think there is a need for a deeper level of comprehension.

Has connected financial data across departments and improved future cash flow planning
I would like to improve the integration with other solutions, as I need everything integrated, like the HR module, purchase module, SCM, production, and engineering. Each and every module should be connected to the finance module, and I think Oracle provides the right solution. Also, SAP, IFS, or Microsoft Dynamics 365 offer some solutions, but I am not as happy with them as I am with Oracle. I believe that Oracle E-Business Suite could improve by transitioning from Java-based scripts in our system to a web-based environment. While Oracle already has JD Edwards available in web-based format, I think it needs to be smoother for optimization and presentation in the future. In comparison, IFS is fully web-based, and all applications are sufficiently good and user-friendly. We are developing and trying to improve to a web-based setup, but it is currently too costly.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The ability to have one reporting for all countries is valuable."
"The most valuable feature was that everything was in one system."
"They are very strong in terms of having a central regional system, where a regional person can see and monitor the calendar for each different country and know what stage they are in, if the process has been finalized and approved, and if the process has gone back to the bank, all monitored regionally."
"The product is good, user-friendly, and effective."
"The advantage was that ADP Streamline was inherently designed to serve as a marketing engine for the company."
"The product allows you to create and manage shared services centrally even in small countries."
"I like the reporting feature as it allows me to generate reports independently without relying on a payroll consultant."
"It does the job, it has a lot of features, and Oracle is constantly upgrading and adding things to it, so it's a solid product, but there is always room for improvement."
"The most valuable features of Oracle E-Business Suite are all the 15 to 20 modules. We use them on a day-to-day basis."
"The benefits and positive impacts I have seen from Oracle E-Business Suite include that it is the most customizable, most secure, and has a large user base with very good security."
"With Oracle, the county switched from paper-based purchasing to an automated solution which allows departments to place orders and receive within days or a week."
"Removed paper/spreadsheet time-cards and replaced the paper process with an electronic online process for annual benefits enrollment, view pay slip online, view W-2 online, etc., and we are able to submit government reports electronically."
"The most valuable feature is definitely the ability to go in as a manager or as an individual and do everything in one place, for example, to add, change, or remove a goal."
"Being able to get all the financial data into one system that talks to each other and get our financials published every month."
"The most valuable features for us are the abilities it provides for us to generate our financial statements and to develop our own customized reports exactly how we want."

Cons

"Having more clear guidance on design and training would be beneficial."
"The pricing is high as compared with other products in the market. For a small service that is out of scope, it has a huge service charge."
"We had to scrap plans to integrate Brazil because it was not doable."
"The reporting tool could be improved as it currently is just a data dump and much manipulation is required."
"They could improve the service relationship manager (SRM), because they have an SRM which is not familiar with Simple."
"The product is not quite up to our expectations."
"The UI could be improved to be a bit more modern or trendy because it looks old-fashioned compared to other systems."
"I think there is a need for a deeper level of comprehension."
"We've found that technical support has been challenging as they are not always the most forthcoming with information nor are they the most highly-trained techs when you open SRs."
"Oracle is easy to implement at a new organization like ours, but it might be more challenging for an established organization with more rules and policies in place."
"I believe they should improve their sales service. In terms of finance, they need to improve the interface."
"Organizational restructuring is a horrible process and very difficult in EBS."
"A downside of Oracle E-Business Suite is its interface because it's less user-friendly than the latest cloud solutions. As an organization, Oracle now has more interest in cloud applications, so nowadays, it doesn't focus much on Oracle E-Business Suite, an on-premises solution, so this is another downside."
"Oracle E-Business Suite is hard and takes six months to one year to implement."
"E-Business Suite's user experience and interface could be improved."
"Oracle E-Business Suite's stability could be improved as they have a lot of bugs that need to be fixed."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The amount we pay is not low, and it is not high. It is average."
"Our company had a standardized pricing model based on the number of employees."
"It costs too much."
"The price of the solution is extremely high."
"The pricing of Oracle E-Business Suite is too high."
"The solution is quite expensive."
"Oracle's pricing is lower than that of its competitors."
"Pricing for Oracle E-Business Suite is seven out of ten. You must pay extra for maintenance and technical support, apart from standard license fees."
"In my opinion, the prices for Oracle ERP are reasonable, especially considering the various discounts that are often available."
"Find a best Oracle partner and get a better discount."
