A superb platform for low-code development, but needs to improve its pricing and support
It was a customized solution like a VPN. We used some open-source tools and some paid tools. But we mostly had custom-developed tools. As for why we switched from Accela, this is a very important question because that was a legacy system, and it was running for 11 years. Of course, we reached a point where we wanted to scale our applications, and we had a legacy system that could not support scaling and required more time to implement any applications. That was one of the reasons we chose a low-code platform. We evaluated multiple solutions in the market. As part of the bidding, Accela was the lowest with more features.

Has enabled seamless integration across platforms while supporting advanced analytics for customer insights
Microsoft Dynamics CRM doesn't provide solutions that allow you to transform easily if you have a heterogeneous mix of technologies or if your contact center is on analog and you try to digitize it. A lot of custom work is needed if you have to integrate heterogeneous technologies with the Microsoft suite, but if you are using the Microsoft suite, then it's quite seamless. Microsoft Dynamics CRM should add commercial models that allow smaller companies to use it because it can get pretty expensive. Better commercial options for smaller implementations may be helpful. There should be commercial options for smaller companies, as the overheads and costs of Dynamics can be quite high.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The Accela's most valuable features are visual inspection and workflow."
"We can develop features in very little time."
"It's been very helpful in ensuring that we're able to provide the best of services and provide responses to whatever queries we get from all our customers."
"Right now we're using the financial features, and we haven't tried the inventory; it's useful more on the financial side."
"The feature I like best in Microsoft Dynamics CRM is being able to market to segments instead of choosing individual people to market to."
"Compared to other partners, the most valuable aspect of Microsoft Dynamics CRM is its intuitive APIs, which are customizable and allow for the addition of multiple parameters and attributes. This feature enhances the purpose call in our services. Additionally, the learning curve for contact center agents using Microsoft Dynamics CRM is shorter than with other solution providers. Finally, the commercial aspects of Microsoft Dynamics CRM are superior to those of other solution providers."
"The most valuable feature of Microsoft Dynamics CRM has to be its interface...Microsoft Dynamics CRM has a user-friendly platform."
"Microsoft Dynamics CRM has a very nice UI, and is very easy to use."
"We use Microsoft Dynamics for all of our general CRM functions, including lead generation activity and leveraging the database with integration for sending out automated emails."
"The most valuable feature of Microsoft Dynamics CRM is its ease of use."

Cons

"The tool's performance becomes slow with usage. Its deployment is also complicated."
"I would like to see integration with analytics and the Power BI dashboard."
"Microsoft Dynamics CRM could improve the built-in reports. The ones that are included are pretty generic unless you subscribe to Microsoft BI, which is an extra fee."
"The mobile side of the product doesn't look that great right now; it doesn't seem to render and the responsiveness across different devices, from light testing, just seemed kind of off."
"The UI and GUI could be improved."
"Overall, the solution has the same functionalities as other CRMs such as Salesforce, but Salesforce is much simpler to use. Microsoft Dynamics CRM is complicated to use, and this is another area for improvement."
"Microsoft Dynamics CRM could improve by being more user-friendly and having a better design. I have used Service Desk and it is not user-friendly but this solution is worse. The graphical interface is not intuitive, you need someone to guide you or you will have difficulties navigating around to find the file you need. The data we are normally dealing with is boring enough and the interface could be more attractive and more exciting. The tabs and arrangement could be done better to be more user-friendly. Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word are fine and Microsoft should extend their user-friendliness and intuitiveness to Microsoft Dynamics."
"I am happy with it. If anything, its interface could be improved."
"The approvals component of Dynamics is complex. It isn't very easy to generate approvals between different departments."
"The solution should improve the user experience in the process of creating and activating offers."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"When we chose Accela, it was affordable. But with new solutions in the market, we can see cheaper ones with the same features."
"Microsoft Dynamics CRM is an expensive solution."
"We have deployed the cloud-based version and it is a subscription and the price is based on the number of users using it."
"There is a license required to use Microsoft Dynamics CRM."
"I give the price of the solution an eight out of ten."
"The price of the solution is good but could be cheaper."
"The cost varies on multiple factors including customization and the number of users."
"It's kind of pricey. It's about $50 or $60 per user."
"For the price of Microsoft Dynamics CRM, you receive a lot of comprehensive functionality. Additionally, it integrates very well. We pay approximately $100 a month to use the solution and we do not have any additional costs."
