My customers range from small to medium to big enterprises. Because we are distributors, we serve partners who attend to customers from different industries.

The most valuable features of Juniper Mist Edge include the ability to terminate the data plane and the control plane on-site for privacy purposes. For those that don't want the management of their either wireless or wired infrastructure to be done in the cloud, Juniper Mist Edge helps to solve that problem.

AI-generated features in Juniper Mist Edge help to optimize network operations as AI is everything. It helps to simplify the management of infrastructure, assists in root cause analysis and identification of issues and resolution of those issues, and aids in what we call premium analytics to analyze what has gone wrong or the events on-site, providing feedback that would help to make some business-critical decisions.

Anomaly detection in Juniper Mist Edge is beneficial, as when talking about AI, that's just it. Anomaly detection helps when things are not going the way they were designed or planned to work. Juniper Mist Edge also helps to detect that and assists in resolving the issue.

I can't think of any weak points that should be improved in Juniper Mist Edge at this moment. At this point, there is nothing that I believe should be improved on, at least for now. However, I think there is a need to improve the virtual edition or the virtual platform of Juniper Mist Edge, as I know that it was discontinued. They should bring back the virtual edition of the Mist and improve it to at least act as the physical or hardware edition that they already have.

I have been working with Juniper Mist Edge for maybe two years.

For now, I have no complaints regarding the stability of Juniper Mist Edge.

In terms of scalability, Juniper Mist Edge is very easy to scale. There are just three hardware devices for Mist Edge, and the way it is deployed makes it very easy to scale, whether by moving from one device to another or by increasing the number of licenses required, depending on the use case. Overall, it is very scalable.

For Juniper support, I would rate it a nine out of ten.

The time it takes for the setup depends on the use case, but generally, it takes maybe less than 30 minutes.

Regarding cost, Juniper Mist Edge is very competitive.

I compare Juniper Mist Edge with regular Cisco wireless LAN controllers.

I have had a chance to work with the AI-driven features in Juniper Mist Edge, but they still require a connection to the Mist cloud. It works as expected.

In terms of enhancing network interactions, Juniper Mist Edge integration capabilities are pretty straightforward, just any other Mist device or solution. It is very easy to integrate, using open standards to integrate with existing network infrastructure, so it doesn't matter if it's a Juniper network environment. The integration is seamless.

I have not yet had a chance to work with Juniper Mist Edge for dynamic policy management.

I recommend that those who are evaluating Juniper Mist Edge should test it. Have a proof of concept, and you will see how it works. Test it in your environment, and you will see firsthand how the Mist solution is going to transform how you view your network and your entire infrastructure.

On a scale of 1-10, I rate Juniper Mist Edge an 8.

I use Juniper Mist Edge for monitoring our WAN connections. It is important for us to troubleshoot when circuits go down and work with the service provider to determine the cause of the problem.

Juniper Mist Edge is valuable for its ability to troubleshoot and configure more things compared to Meraki. It allows us to see more and manipulate more features, which is beneficial for troubleshooting and configuring. 

Meraki is more like an Apple product where a lot happens in the background without visibility. Juniper Mist Edge provides better support for medium-sized businesses.

Juniper Mist Edge can sometimes have a delay in information updating, which could be improved.

I have probably used the Juniper products for about a year or so.

Juniper Mist Edge is more scalable with many features and is more suitable for larger enterprises compared to Meraki.

We haven't had much contact with the support team, although there has been one problem that remains unresolved. However, they are pretty responsive.

I recommend Juniper Mist Edge for medium-sized businesses due to its affordability and scalability. It is better than Meraki, especially for medium-sized businesses.

I primarily use Juniper Wi-Fi because I need a smooth Wi-Fi solution. I address my needs by opting for Juniper, which is a reliable product. I often require a dependable product, and this is why I choose Juniper. It is worth noting that the price of Juniper is quite high. However, for a single dashboard or PR reporting in my infrastructure, I use Flipper.

My experience with Juniper is good. Juniper is a remote and AI-enhanced product. I am using Juniper XRX, Juniper Fiber, Juniper Router, Juniper Switch, and Core Switch, among others, including Juniper Mist. I am using Verint as well. The experience has been positive so far.

The product needs an update, particularly in price, as it deters many customers, including myself, from using it despite its convenience and effectiveness. Due to the high cost, not all customers can afford this product.

I have been using Mist for five years.

I experience a lot of stability issues, so the rating is eight out of ten.

I would rate the scalability as ten out of ten.

Juniper's technical support is highly responsive. Whenever I face a problem, I create a Mist ticket, and they respond very quickly.

The setup process is easy. Configuring Juniper Mist is straightforward from my perspective. Juniper is launching Mist Apestra, which is a very good product. All my Juniper products are managed from Central Mist, and deployment is a zero-task process. This simplicity makes deployment very easy for me.

Due to the pricing, I find it challenging to process the solution effectively. However, it is a valuable product.

I always suggest to my customers that if they have the budget, I recommend the UniPermius Lilypad solution, as it is better. It scores ten out of ten. I am a satisfied Juniper partner. 

We use Juniper Mist Edge in our large-scale environment, where we have a hybrid infrastructure comprising both cloud and on-premises solutions. The on-premises deployment involves Juniper Mist Edge, which acts as a wireless controller, effectively managing all AFEs locally.

The most valuable aspect of Mist Edge, in comparison to solutions like NetCloud, lies in its ability to provide comprehensive visibility into all network packets. It stands out by offering insight into client data.

I would like to see improvements in ensuring government compliance for Mist Edge. Additionally, it could be improved by streamlining its deployment, making it more user-friendly, and enhancing its integration with managed cloud services.

I have been working with Juniper Mist Edge for almost eight years.

The solution is fairly stable.

Mist Edge is highly scalable, and I have successfully deployed it in a large environment for a project. It handled over 120 Access Points without any issues.

The support is evaluated based on levels, ranging from one to three. While Level One might not always provide the preferred support, escalating to Level Two usually gets the right assistance. If needed, there is an option to escalate further to Level Three. However, I generally don't recommend going to Level Three unless necessary.

Setting up Mist Edge is straightforward.  You just need a virtual server, deploy the image, and configure it with email and meeting settings. The whole process takes about a day or a couple of hours if everything is ready. It's a quick and simple deployment. Maintaining Mist Edge is not difficult. If it goes down, you can easily replace it. For a new VP, the process is straightforward. If any adjustments are needed, it is generally manageable.

My clients haven't seen the desired ROI with Mist Edge. The main issue lies in Juniper's hardware. If there is a power interruption three times, the switches and routers become problematic. Replacing them is not only complex but also expensive, which has been a significant drawback in terms of cost and performance.

The pricing for Mist Edge is generally fine, but it is a bit too high for clients in Bangladesh.

I would recommend Mist Edge, especially for users in large enterprises. Overall, I would rate it as a six out of ten.

We use Mist APs for our wireless LAN. It is the standard access point that we use for all of our internal wireless, as well as any locations that have guest access. We use Mist Cloud for all the management and monitoring.

The visibility of the information that's available about APs through their cloud portal and some of the AI features are most valuable.

The one area that we're specifically looking into is their outdoor APs. The
development of their outdoor APs is lagging as compared to their internal APs.

We have been using this solution for about two years.

It seems to be very reliable.

We have buildings with several hundred APs in them. Right now, I believe we have around 25,000 deployed globally. So, there is no issue with scaling.

We've dealt with their leadership team and the account team when most of those folks were from Motorola. Previously, we had Motorola APs. So, we're very familiar with the account team, and they provide us support. In general, when we have an issue with it, we don't go through their first-level support desk. If we can't fix it because of our experience, we go right for the engineering group.

It is straightforward. It is basic. They're configured in the portal, and then our field techs simply go out and plug them in based on the design that's provided to them as to where they need to be mounted. There is no configuration part on the installer. They just plug it in, and it connects back to the cloud, gets its configuration, and they're all set to go.

We have a team of about eight engineers who do the design, coordinate implementation, and manage and troubleshoot those.

I believe we're getting some good discounts. We're paying less than $500 per AP. I don't know the annual maintenance cost.

We deployed this as a technology refresh. The older version of APs that we had were end-of-life. At the time, we looked at APs from Juniper, Aruba, and Mist. Mist was selected based on the features and costs.

It is an excellent product. It is a step above the previous generation of APs and the management systems for those. I do know that the other AP vendors are also moving in the cloud-managed direction and increasing the amount of AI information that is processed and can be fed back to the users on the AP performance.

We've had a long history with the account team and founders of Mist, and they've worked very closely with us in the development of that product and have incorporated a lot of our requests for features and other things.

I would rate it a solid nine out of ten.
