What is our primary use case?

We use the solution to work with operating systems. We have two Superdomes on the production site. Both servers have active failover cluster nodes. So the shared storage from 3par shifts on one or the other node as per the requirement. If one of the Superdome functions fail, then with the help of Serviceguard, all the applications get shifted to the other node.

What is most valuable?

The solution's most valuable feature is the ability to create a Mount Point Package. With the help of a predefined set of shells, it connects a specific group of points to all those large groups in a single package. Thus, you will get all the mount points if the package is up; when it is down, all the mount points vanish. In case of hardware failure, the package automatically shifts from one node to another. Also, Serviceguard allows us to customize scripts in the configuration.
