Cisco Meraki MV serves as my primary tool for enterprise physical security and operational monitoring. I use it for real-time surveillance of critical areas such as entrances, offices, data centers, and warehouses where our IT and OT equipment is located. Cloud-managed security and easy deployment are among the main features I would recommend, and the motion sensors are also very effective.

One additional feature I would highlight is the intelligence built into Cisco Meraki MV cameras themselves. They can perform video processing and analytics at the edge, allowing me to obtain useful insights such as people and vehicle detection without depending entirely on a central video processing server.

From the organization perspective, the biggest positive impact has been the reduction of operational overhead with Cisco Meraki MV being cloud-managed. My team can centrally manage and monitor cameras across multiple sites without maintaining separate on-premises video management infrastructure. The main saving has been time and administrative effort. Centralized management has meant fewer on-site visits and less manual camera configurations. Troubleshooting has also been very fast through the dashboard, and the resolution time for any issues is minimal.

One limitation I have seen is the dependence on cloud connectivity. An internet or cloud connectivity issue can affect management and remote access. Licensing cost can be a consideration for large deployments. I would appreciate more advanced analytics and greater flexibility around integrations. Overall, the platform is very easy to deploy and manage.
