I would recommend Trend Micro Web Security to organizations looking for an end-to-end security solution. Trend Micro is definitely a secure solution. We primarily use the solution for cloud security. It's excellent for all types of security of internet-facing items. Trend Micro protects our organization from shoulder surfing. It also does certain classifications to provide protection from a GRC (governance, risk, and compliance) point of view. Trend Micro is a stable tool. I have been using it for over five years and it performs well. I haven’t experienced any stability issues or bugs while using it. I don’t remember it ever crashing or freezing. The setup was simple and straightforward, and once it's installed, it does not use a large amount of resources. I am also satisfied with the customer support. They have a responsive support team. I would say that this product is more suited for medium sized companies since there are a couple of features large companies might look for that do not currently exist in Trend Micro. Below is a list of features and benefits you get with Trend Micro Web Security: Cloud application access control: Trend Micro can detect tens of thousands of cloud services in use and carry out the access policies defined by users and regulations. Security on any device in any location: Trend Micro stops threats in the cloud before they reach your endpoints, keeping users safe on any device and in any location, whether or not they are connected to the corporate network. Malware prevention: Trend Micro prevents malware from entering your network. Visibility: With Trend Micro centralized management system, users can create customized and interactive dashboards and set up reports that provide complete visibility into usage and security data. Lightweight: Trend Micro does not utilize a large amount of system resources when running. Scalable: Trend Micro is designed to scale to support a large number of users. Easy and flexible setup and deployment: The initial setup of Trend Micro is straightforward and fast. During the setup, you are given the option of deploying the product on premises, in the cloud, or a combination of both. Customer support: Trend Micro’s technical support team is responsive and knowledgeable. Some of the downsides of Trend Micro are: High cost: Trend Micro is pretty expensive when compared with similar solutions on the market. I feel that if the price were lower, it would be a more popular solution. Trend micro could use a few more features in order to be a more comprehensive solution suitable for large enterprises. For example, they are lacking a DDoS protection option. Trend Micro does offer a centralized management console with a single interface but the interface needs some improvements. It could be a bit more user-friendly. Overall, I would rate Trend Micro and eight out of ten. For the most part, we are happy with it. It is very reliable and offers good services.

The primary use case of this solution is to prevent our end-users from getting hacked, or getting viruses, ransomware, or any type of malware. The firewall protects information from coming in and the antivirus protects the machine.
