An area where Siemens PLM TeamCenter can be improved is in security functions. Currently, the login process is a bit difficult, so we need to enhance the login methods in Siemens PLM TeamCenter. I believe that in addition to the login process, implementing AI assistance in Siemens PLM TeamCenter would be very useful for us. I sometimes face challenges when managing user permissions and access control in Siemens PLM TeamCenter. While assigning user permissions and access control, it can become a bit complicated and takes time to update the database.
On the reporting side of Siemens PLM TeamCenter, we now have an integration with AI, which needs enhancement, along with improvements in the reporting features as well. As AI is booming, Siemens PLM TeamCenter should come up with some AI perspective in the TeamCenter Active Workspace version. It should come up with functionalities that make it easy to configure from the UI side regarding reporting features.
Currently everyone is looking for cloud-based products, and while they have TeamCenter X, I think it has not yet matured. They can focus on making it more mature and introduce some AI elements.
The product's web interface and setup process could be better. Also, scalability and stability need to be improved. It could be easier to customize as well.
This solution works, but it has many issues. Smaller companies are coming up the cloud-based PLM solutions that may replace larger PLM companies like PTC or Siemens in the future. It has some performance problems, and the maintenance is too expensive. Recently, we completed a project, and it cost almost $6 million to upgrade.
