In my opinion, the analytics part of erwin Data Intelligence is not satisfactory. The name 'Intelligence' is not related specifically to analytics; it is focused on data governance with no advanced analytics, only simple profiling on the data. erwin Data Intelligence could improve particularly in the UI, as they are using old technologies that are not modern and do not serve the current requirements of the modern market. I would like to see improvements in erwin Data Intelligence regarding connectors, as they have some limitations, especially with open-source tools. If you need to connect to Postgres or MongoDB, you need to request an ad hoc scanner for that specific purpose, and this ad hoc solution works only once and is not automated or scheduled.

The dashboard in erwin Data Intelligence is customizable, and you can easily create different views. However, you are confined to the widgets that are already provided, so the customization is somewhat limited.
One way erwin could improve would be to recalculate their license fee. There is also room for improvement with respect to the connector and how to connect to the structured and unstructured database. Some of these procedures require professional services from erwin which includes the cost of a chip that is very expensive. Particularly in Thailand, the cost to hire a professional service is much more expensive than in North America. The asset from the software, or the hardware, is much more expensive than a human. For the next version, I would like to see erwin focus on the connector. Currently, you need to rely on a professional service. This makes it difficult to quote an accurate price to our customers.
There are always ways to improve things. For example, we can use AI to be able to find out something. When we are typing something, if we don't know the exact term, Artificial Intelligence would be useful to find terms that are phonetically or syntactically similar. Instead of having to type in the exact name, they can provide those in the list. So, they can provide AI support for the search because when you have thousands and thousands of terms, it is hard to remember all the names. There were some issues when drawing the data models. If you have more than 500 or 600 tables, it takes a long time to display those in the right position on the screen. That can also be improved. They need some caching and some parallel pipelines working on the backend in order to divide it into sections.
