My main use case for Social+ is about aligning with my current organization as an industrial technology leader. Spanning performance solutions is one use case that we are looking forward to. Second is connecting operational technology (OT) and IT, which addresses how plant operators, field technicians, and data engineers often work in silos. Social+ architecture embeds communication directly inside the data platform, which is a valuable advantage. This is one of the use cases. Second is about streamlining maintenance and diagnostics, which applies when a mill or biomass boiler reports abnormal sensor telemetry. Plant engineers can discuss, tag, and attach historical data logs within the same monitoring portal where Social+ can be a game changer. For a real-world example of how I have used Social+ for those use cases so far, I would mention using it in biomass boiler reports and abnormal sensor telemetry. It is about where people can actually discuss the problem and can tag each one to solve the problem quicker. Other ways that I am trying to use Social+ include governance security, which involves fine-grain access role control where I think Social+ can be a game changer. Additionally, I would want Social+ to be more accurate about faster incident resolutions through DataOps by embedding chat activity feeds and notifications, which is an advantage that Valmet can have around pipeline failures and CI/CD deployments.
