My main use case for FileCloud is storing my data as a storage solution. I used FileCloud for storing my personal files, data, photos, and other things similar to how I would use Google Drive.
FileCloud is used by my organization as a central location to store all of our company shared documents as well as our personal work documents. It serves as a cloud storage solution so we can access our company files from anywhere as long as we are connected to the internet. In my daily work, FileCloud allows my company to host everything on their own servers and have full administrative access to everything they need. If you don't have someone to manage a server or you don't need to have granular admin access, FileCloud would not be appropriate for your usage. Recently, we implemented FileCloud to host our data securely using HTTPS instead of replacing our data on a third-party cloud solution or using VPN technologies. Our whole organization is now using it to access the data on our file servers. With many of our staff members working remotely and on the move, this solution helps our staff members access their data on our secured central servers without having to use VPN technologies.
