Cisco Nexus 9000 Series has come up with DPU-based switches, Nexus Hypershield, and high-capacity hardware supporting 800-gig and 400-gig. They provide architectures for both NDO and ACI, with options to run different OS versions in the same hardware. The features for manageability and visibility are impressive. The high licensing costs stand out negatively.
As for the price of Cisco Nexus 9000 Series, it depends upon which model you are going into. Cisco Nexus switches now have Silicon One switches as well, and those will be a little bit costly. If you are looking into a low bandwidth switch, I think that is quite cost-effective. However, with high throughput and ultra-low latency switches which have the latest ASIC or silicon, that will be a little bit costly.
