We're a customer and end-user. I'd advise companies to change to new and better endpoint protection if they haven't already. They need to look into something that offers zer-day protection, for example, and really focus on security. McAfee is becoming Trellix. I'm not sure if they will include zero-day protection or if they will improve services to update more often for better protection. If not, I will not use them anymore. I'd rate the solution five out of ten.

I would rate the solution an eight out of ten. Many of our clients wanted to go to the cloud, as the cloud-based version of the solution offered the latest features, which the on-prem version did not. However, they weren't ready to move to the cloud, so there were some issues.

McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator is a well-known product. It is a big one. It is quite easy to compare on those different criteria. It's not a new kid on the block, it's a known value, it's been there for a long time. In my point of view, it's worth comparing it to other products to see if it integrates with something you already have, because now there is a tendency to have more ecosystems of endpoint protection and server protection. The Microsoft ecosystem, or parts of the Microsoft ecosystem, are already in place in the organization. There will be eventual integration with a corporate data center or pyramid in firewalling. Whether they are already in place or not, it is important to consider these elements and to make a decision after these considerations. Not that I would advise particularly for or against McAfee, but there are a lot of elements to take into account. I think it serves its purpose, that's fair and square. But there are always things that could be optimized. Whether it's the performance impact on the endpoint, or the management, in general. No solution will ever fit 100% to an environment, whether it's your own or another, it will not always fit 100%. There will always be little drawbacks, little things that could be optimized. Then it's a question of how to handle it. You have to live with some minor inconveniences. There are advantages, there are the things that are good. In general, it's a good product. I would not advise against it. On a scale of one to ten, I would give McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator a seven because of the reasons I told you. It does the job. It's quite solid. It's stable, of course. It's not something new, something experimental, it's proven itself already. And yeah, why not higher? Because of the things I told you already.

I don't have much exposure to other similar products, like Netskope or Palo Alto, but overall, looking at security, I would give this solution a seven out of ten. I recommend this solution to others.

It is great if you're looking for a traditional signature-based AV product, but if you're looking for a more comprehensive EDR solution, then CrowdStrike and SentinelOne are clearly the top two within that space. Overall, I would rate it a seven out of 10. If I'm rating it for a traditional AV product, I'd give it a nine or 10 because it totally solves that use case, but if I'm rating it against a comprehensive EDR solution, which includes traditional AV and next-gen behavioral capability, then it would be a five, but they're not necessarily apples to apples.

I'm just a customer and an end-user. I don't have a business relationship with McAfee. I'd rate the solution at a seven out of ten.

All the endpoint security solutions operate in a similar manner. If you take it as a baseline and if you want to get acquainted with a security solution then I think this is definitely a good tool. Of course, the costing and other factors need to be taken into consideration. I would rate this solution a seven out of 10.

As an end user, I'd recommend the solution. McAfee ePO has many more features and covers more. A company looking for a new solution really needs to do some initial research to ensure their requirements are met. I'd rate the solution eight out of ten overall.

We're a McAfee customer. We don't have a specific relationship with the organization. We are using the latest version of the solution. The solution is quite good and stable right now, but there are a lot of other products coming to the market. I'm currently investigating what other features customers need or are using to see if we can develop these out on this solution or not. Many organizations will find the solution has may features that would suit their needs and reduce the number of issues they face. However, it does depend on the individual company and what their unique requirements are. I'd rate the solution eight out of ten.

My advice would be to read the documentation and carry out implementation. It is not complicated, just a matter of deciding which vendor to use. Because we have a corporate contract, the price is reasonable. We're happy with everything - the dashboard, user interface - it's all good. I would rate this product a nine out of 10.

This is a solution I recommend very much. For anybody who is implementing this solution, I suggest that they read through the product manuals and documentation. I have noticed that it is an advantage to read through the manuals because people who do not, tend to miss things, and then blame the product for not working. I would say that McAfee is a good product, and over the years I have found it to be very stable and very effective when it comes to managing other products. We have all that we wanted to do with McAfee. In the time that I have been using this solution, I've noticed that when I perform a setup on different platforms or different networks, I've gotten to learn new things because each and every network is different. When it comes to troubleshooting network issues, I have learned a lot, especially things related to cybersecurity. This is a very good product, but they have a database issue. Having a McAfee-only solution, rather than having to bring in a Microsoft product, or one from another vendor would make this solution perfect. I would rate this solution an eight out of ten.

It does provide a lot of functionality. ePO Cloud takes away a lot of the management administration overhead. Though, I haven't tried this feature.

Do a PoC with competitors' endpoint protection products. But compared to what McAfee has, I don't think other products have as many options, as many features. If you want to protect data, DLP is a good option. In terms of scalability, they're introducing more and new more features in ENS, Endpoint Security. If a ransomware attack happens, you can roll the encryption to its previous position. This is what they are implementing, according to their articles. For maintenance of ePO, one guy is enough. If the server is ready, if the database and the platforms are ready, one guy can oversee the product. But you still need someone who is strong in SQL and someone who can install operating systems. I have not compared this product to any other product. If I had then I could rate it properly. But, overall, it's good, it's not a bad product. I would rate it at nine out of ten. The product has everything I need.

I have not had too many problems with this solution. It works fine. I really like the DLP feature. There are no database issues. I would rate it a nine out of ten because it gives IT clarity, it doesn't have database issues, and it hasn't crashed or given us problems in the two years we've been using it. It's a great tool.
