We create reports as required; there are inbuilt and customized reports available that we use. We are creating reports based on asset auditing features and sending them to management for decision-making. With role-based access control in ManageEngine AssetExplorer, every asset is assigned to a user, and our system connects to an Active Directory, making department heads the owners of those assets. A single user is assigned to each asset, maintaining responsibility. This allows us to view which department each asset belongs to and quickly identify responsibilities, security breaches, and asset status through the data model, which also provides advanced analytical reporting of IT spending trends. We are in the process of integrating ManageEngine AssetExplorer with the Service Manager; previously, it functioned on the desktop, and now we are testing this integration with the IT Service Manager. From my administrative perspective, I rate ManageEngine AssetExplorer as nine out of ten, saying it is safe and good software.
The suitability of this product depends on individual requirements. However, for the most part, it serves as an excellent solution for IT asset management, aligning well with ISO standards and providing effective control over assets. It's a versatile product that can benefit various IT support teams and organizations in the IT sector. I would rate it eight out of ten.
