We monitor the performance and availability of Infoblox NIOS using external monitoring tools, specifically using Ekahau for monitoring. We handle disaster recovery and backup for Infoblox NIOS with a VMware backup solution that does differential backups, allowing us to restore at pretty much any time. We ensure compliance with regulations or industry standards using Infoblox NIOS through a DDI Infoblox portal, which has monitoring for how traffic comes in and goes out, as well as detecting any DNS attacks and threats. My advice for others looking into using Infoblox NIOS is that if the environment is large and you want a segmented, scalable network assignment along with DNS security, Infoblox NIOS is an all-in-one device. I would rate my overall experience with this product an eight out of ten.

My advice to others looking into using Infoblox NIOS is to treat it as core infrastructure, not just another tool. Design it with high redundancy and start with IPAM discipline. Invest in training early and automate gradually. Infoblox NIOS rewards structured thinking and long-term planning. It should be used properly and it turns network operations from reactive firefighting into calm, predictable execution. I would rate this product a 10 out of 10.
