What advice do you have for others considering CloudGuard for Cloud Intelligence?

My advice to other professionals who are considering using Check Point Cloud Firewall (formerly CloudGuard Network Security) is to treat it exactly as a firewall. It is an excellent fit for some central nodes, data centers, and core levels. As a universal device, especially a small universal device, I would not recommend it because of the complex cluster configuration and also, in some cases, more complex troubleshooting. In particular, it has issues with role changes at the cluster level when older Check Point versions, the so-called R80.x and earlier, are used. I really hope that in the future, Check Point Cloud Firewall (formerly CloudGuard Network Security) will abandon the thick client and be able to fully switch to working only via the web interface, and also improve the operation of site-to-site VPN in terms of displaying tunnel states. This is the main problem I have encountered. At the same time, the logging system is excellent, and the troubleshooting system is also very good, but the client's operation definitely has room for improvement. I would rate this review an eight overall.

Check Point Cloud Firewall (formerly CloudGuard Network Security) has a nominal impact on my organization. Currently, the landscape is mainly relying on identity. Based on the identity side, Check Point Cloud Firewall (formerly CloudGuard Network Security) does not have much responsibility within my premise or within my system architecture. Check Point Cloud Firewall (formerly CloudGuard Network Security) has impacted my confidence in secure cloud deployments and migrations. The product is not very user-friendly, and the UI is complex to understand initially, but once I became familiar with it, it became easier. Exploring the full capabilities by just browsing the website is not possible. Visiting the website regularly is necessary if you are new to Check Point Cloud Firewall (formerly CloudGuard Network Security).

I would suggest that if your budget allows it and you know how to configure it properly, do go for Check Point Cloud Firewall (formerly CloudGuard Network Security) as it is a very good product to be used. I would rate this product a 9 out of 10 overall.

Check Point Cloud Firewall (formerly CloudGuard Network Security) is a good solution for organizational prospects helping to reduce risk. Customers are using multiple features such as malware detection, ransomware, zero-day attacks with ZTNA. All the features are available as blade technologies, while others have UTM features; Check Point has blade security solutions, and that is the main use case. Check Point Cloud Firewall (formerly CloudGuard Network Security) comes under MPLS, SD-WAN, VLAN, and all those features. Moreover, all bundled solutions are available in Check Point, so I do not see that many additional features are needed. Regarding the documentation I usually use, it is in a presentation type of document focused on customer presentation. I use different types of documents, and if anything is readily available for customer presentations, that is very helpful. Every detail I need is already in the documentation, and I can find it easily. I give this solution a rating of 9 out of 10.

If you are a Check Point shop, then it integrates really well. The basic integrations that you have with identity and access management and SIEM solutions or SOAR platforms work well. All decent vendors have playbooks that center around Check Point, so I think those are decent and not a challenge. There are a lot of out-of-the-box integrations available, and if you want to build custom integrations, you can work with the TAC or professional services and get that done. If you are a Check Point shop in its entirety, if you have got CloudGuard, Harmony, and the old Check Point UTMs or next-gen firewalls, all of them stitch seamlessly together. Check Point Cloud Firewall (formerly CloudGuard Network Security) is available through the AWS marketplace, and if you have got a committed spend, you can use that toward purchasing via the marketplace. While I have not used it personally, it was communicated as an option available by our resellers. I would rate Check Point Cloud Firewall (formerly CloudGuard Network Security) somewhere around seven or eight overall. The adoption is a bit low, which makes me curious about the roadmap; if you have a great market share, you typically see a very decent number of feature releases coming out all the time. Considering stability, ROI, and other factors, I think seven is a fair rating.

Check Point stands out, and I can confidently say it stands out. My biggest challenge while deploying Check Point Cloud Firewall (formerly CloudGuard Network Security) is arriving at the right architecture in the right place. I give this review an overall rating of nine.

I advise the company to keep evolving and keep it up. Open-source vendors are entering the scene and evolving rapidly, so staying up to speed is essential. I rate the solution seven out of ten.

We do not so much use the workload protection capabilities yet. We also do not use the CloudGuard Detection Response. We're a partner of Check Point. Some areas still need development, however it is a very solid solution, definitely. I would rate the overall solution a seven out of ten.

I rate Check Point CloudGuard CNAPP six out of 10.

The solution's cloud security posture management scans your cloud environment and cloud-configured policies and gives you a report of all the loopholes in your cloud environment. You can also get compliance reports from the solution, and I am completely satisfied with its effectiveness. The solution's cloud security posture management identifies risks most critical to the business and segregates them into low, medium, and high categories. The solution's workload protection capabilities provide protection for VMs. The scanning provided by the solution's workload protection capabilities helps us identify problems before they go live. We can schedule the solution to scan our cloud environment daily for vulnerabilities. The solution takes 20 to 25 minutes to scan the entire cloud environment. Earlier, it used to take an entire day because we had to perform all the manual tasks to find out all the loopholes in our cloud environment. Before using the solution, we used to spend an entire day finding all the loopholes in our cloud environment. Check Point CloudGuard CNAPP automated most of our tasks by providing automatic reports to our security team. We also use the solution's CDR capabilities. The visibility we get from the solution's CDR capabilities helps simplify incident investigation time or process. After providing all the loopholes in our cloud environment, the solution provides a step-by-step remediation plan to fix particular vulnerabilities. We extract the report from the tool and work on the patching part. We perform intrusion detection and threat hunting from the same console. Check Point CloudGuard CNAPP is a SaaS-based solution. All the configurations have gone through the secret key we fetch from the cloud environment and integrate with the solution. From there, it fetches all the configurations for the entire cloud environment. I would recommend the solution to other users. Overall, I rate the solution ten out of ten.

For two years the product has done its job perfectly.

I rate Check Point CloudGuard CNAPP nine out of 10. I recommend that complex corporations test CloudGuard before implementing it. When you see the solution in action, you can witness its security and power.

After you have subscribed to CloudGuard CNAPP, I would advise onboarding your cloud account and then monitoring your cloud account and the CloudGuard CNAPP findings for two weeks. After that, you can fine-tune the policies and then run the solution in block mode. That is the process. A CNAPP product is mandatory for any organization that works in a multi-cloud environment. Overall, I would rate CloudGuard CNAPP a nine out of ten.

To the new users of this solution, I would advise not following the built-in guide while setting it up. Always open the admin guide for the most up-to-date information. Overall, I would rate this solution an eight out of ten. Even with all the issues, what you do get out of it is very valuable. The reporting and the setup are holding it back from a ten. That is where it can be improved greatly.

To those considering this solution, I would say that it is pretty easy to get it started and get the evaluation going. Check Point has a whole cloud team that is there not to sell you anything but to help find where you are in the cloud journey and bring evaluation and other things forward. CloudGuard CNAPP is definitely in the upper echelon. I would rate it a nine out of ten. It competes very well with other solutions such as Wiz. If you break it down, it competes very well with them. That puts it right up there at the top.

I would rate CloudGuard CNAPP a ten out of ten. It is an excellent solution. When we used it for the first time, we verified that this solution was on top of other solutions. This platform has helped us to maintain a posture with a lot of visibility. It helps us a lot.

I rate Check Point CloudGuard CNAPP nine out of 10. Any advice I could give to potential users would be completely based on their use cases. You must look at various criteria, like your environment and enrollment level, but my general advice for implementing a CNAPP solution is to get a cloud dev. If you are using AWS with multiple CNAPPs and you don't have a control tower or any other landings in the budget, you want to do policies at each enrollment level. But we're using this out that what we do is, like, we build guardrails where we can apply it at the enterprise level itself. For example, we'd want to allow any data to be researched outside the area. I'll create one policy and apply it at the organizational level. I set a policy so that any user in my enrollment could not create an SD bucket or any volumes outside using their agent. If you have multiple CSPs, AWS accounts, or Azure subscriptions, this is one solution where you can cover your entire organization's accounts.

I would rate Check Point CloudGuard an eight out of ten. Check Point offers a bundled solution that includes cloud threat hunting, cloud migration security, DevSecOps, and cloud security compliance. This comprehensive package is a superior choice as it provides a unified approach to cloud security. We have Check Point CloudGuard deployed in one location with 400 users. A team of four admins performs maintenance on CloudGuard every quarter. CloudGuard boasts advanced threat prevention for network security, seamlessly securing public, private, and hybrid cloud environments. It also provides unified security management and simplifies complaint handling.

I would give Check Point CloudGuard Posture Management a rating of seven out of ten. Consolidating additional capabilities into CloudGuard, along with Fusion, would create a comprehensive package offering for customers. This, along with maintaining compatibility with the evolving AWS service, would help to avoid complicating any integration issues. While developing our tools, there is always a need for ongoing review and updates. However, compared to AWS, the maintenance required for CloudGuard is minimal.

I would rate Check Point CloudGuard Posture Management ten out of ten. If an organization is in the market for a cloud security solution, then it needs a solution like CloudGuard Posture Management. Otherwise, if they are sticking to a specific platform or to a specific service provider like AWS, their tool sets and their solution will be focused on one platform. If they go to Azure, GCP, or any of the other cloud providers, they will be limited. Therefore, I believe that a solution should have flexibility and the ability to function across multiple clouds. Additionally, it should be a solution that grows and evolves. In the time that I have seen Check Point CloudGuard Posture Management, it has grown leaps and bounds and has always stayed ahead of its time. For example, even if an organization has a unique need, CloudGuard Posture Management likely has an academic solution built with the platform. I have not seen this kind of responsiveness from other products. Our company is spread across four different cloud platforms, which are located in regions around the globe. All departments use these platforms, which include 550 employees. I highly recommend Check Point CloudGuard Posture Management. It has been very helpful to our organization, and we have gained many benefits from it. We have had a positive experience with Check Point CloudGuard Posture Management.
