Miro Reviews

Miro is an end-to-end process mapping tool that facilitates the creation of process documentation. It allows users to outline various process steps and add annotations to describe each step in detail. Additionally, it serves as a collaborative platform for business analysts to work together, review, and approve the documented processes. It also enables users to provide demos to customers to ensure a clear understanding of the processes.

It is a versatile tool suitable for various tasks, including process modeling. It is flexible when saving multiple formats, not just XML. It provides this offering, unlike other platforms like Cloud.io or SIP Chart.

Additionally, it is a desktop-based application, allowing for the creation of multiple flows that can be easily accessed and edited. In contrast, other platforms like Product.io may have limitations, such as the inability to reopen previously built flows once logged off, necessitating a rebuild each time.

I used the solution for mind mapping. I was learning machine learning on my own. There was a lot of information to remember, and I was struggling with it, so I used mind mapping. I think I used it for customer journey mapping for process flow.

The tool's use was not a very industry-specific utilization. It was used at a personal level. A personal level of use cannot be measured with the industry benefits.

I work as a consultant with Miro and am involved in consultancy, project management, and process management for some companies. I also collaborate with these companies if they require a collaborative tool for large-scale projects. For example, if there are some projects and a large group works together, we use Miro on such projects as the solution is excellent for managing large-scale projects. Given its efficiency in managing large projects, I did not hesitate to purchase the license, and currently, fifteen projects are running on Miro. 

I haven't fully assessed the time reduction or cost-effectiveness yet since I've recently started using Miro to manage projects in this new way. Initially, I may save more time as I can visualize everything in one place and streamline project activities. I've also noticed that collaborating with others has become more efficient as we can quickly share visualizations and information. While I can't quantify the exact time saved yet, I believe there is a positive impact on efficiency.

I use Miro for creating wireframes and prototypes, which are my main tasks. I also use it for creating roadmaps and product improvements. Additionally, we use it for product investigation and creating live streams.

Miro has been helpful as a flexible solution. It provides a space where I can organize my thoughts about the features and how I work. It allows me to put all my ideas in one place.

We have set up many of our marketing operations process charts on this. We do privacy workflows, customer lifecycles, cross-channel campaign flows, etc. 

Our leadership loves Miro. This has helped us to audit our workflows, use it for team meetings where we are able to review the same sitting in our remote locations, identify choke points and areas for optimizations and lastly, maintain it to see the latest version of our workflows.

Earlier, we were doing this on Excel, however, it was time-consuming and not a very inspirational too.

As mentioned earlier, Miro has helped us to lay down our complex processes in one place without having to make a time-consuming PowerPoint or Word document. Most times, these workflows are so self-explanatory that we can just distribute them among our team members. We have used Miro for the following:

1. Team building activities: We can ask team members to participate in activities where multiple teams can work together on the same board

2. Brainstorming activities:

4. Remote workshops conducted

I am a Scrum Master, so I work with Miro to collaborate with my team, as well as have the usual Scrum ceremonies and workshops.

The features or capabilities of Miro I have found the most valuable so far are presentation mode, timer, the usual posted notes, and being able to insert images from the internet.

It is important for me and my use cases because my team works in a hybrid environment, so it's not always that we are all together in a room; it's very useful to use Miro online, to collaborate.

I find indispensable for remote team collaboration the posted notes, which we use a lot for retrospectives and sharing thoughts and sentiments.

For brainstorming sessions, I find using templates that are offered by Miro itself very useful, as well as sharing thoughts using Post-its, and breakout rooms; I haven't been able to access breakout rooms, but I have participated in breakout rooms myself, and they are very effective.

The most valuable features in Miro include presentation mode, timer functionality, posted notes capabilities, and the ability to insert images from the internet.

The templates offered by Miro are particularly useful for brainstorming sessions, along with Post-its functionality and breakout rooms for effective collaboration.

Using the SCRUM methodology, we use Miro to co-create content for software development and meetings, such as reviews and retrospectives.

The principal feature of the platform is the capability of co-creating content and sharing invites with all people in the organization and outside. It makes it very easy to manage meetings, and the outcomes are excellent.
