Has improved mobile device management through features such as geofencing, firmware upgrades, and centralized control
One of the best features of SOTI MobiControl is that it is one of the oldest MDM solutions available. There are many features such as geofencing with map integration, APK upgrade, firmware upgrade, and it provides battery status, device status, and more. SOTI MobiControl impacts organizations positively because customers want an application MDM solution for managing their mobile devices from a central control. They have given good feedback and were happy with the solution.

Streamlined endpoint deployment has improved configuration and security workflows
It's a great tool that provides a lot of assistance from the Windows perspective with configuration and many other things. The newest feature that came up with AI is particularly valuable. I haven't used much of Windows Autopilot as it's very new to me. It's a cloud-based technology from Microsoft for performing the setup and pre-configuration of Windows devices. The way it assists in automated setup and streamlined deployment is great. I don't see any cons as of now.

Quotes from Members

Pros

"The most valuable features of SOTI MobiControl include location tracking, geofencing, remote device control, and SOTI self-service mobile browsers."
"We use SOTI MobiControl for managing Android device management."
"The keywords menu is better than other MDM. They have an Out of Contact policy, which other MDMs don't have."
"The graphical user interface is fantastic."
"The admin part, where I'm adding users, is not too bad. It's easy enough to use."
"The product provides us with information about the incidents. It helped us block specific devices remotely."
"SOTI MobiControl is user-friendly and easy to access compared to AirWatch."
"The most valuable features are remote control and geo-fencing."
"Its most valuable feature is imaging, it takes very less time for processing."
"The most valuable aspect of Windows Autopilot is its automation features, which allow preset regulations and configurations."
"The way Windows Autopilot assists in automated setup and streamlined deployment is great."
"The solution is very stable."
"Windows Autopilot's most valuable features are its automatic enrollment functionality and ability to detect and configure new devices seamlessly."
"Windows Autopilot automates much of the setup process when delivering computers with a specific image to multiple employees simultaneously. It streamlines the configuration loading process, making it more unattended and yielding consistent results. This eliminates the need for an engineer to input data on each machine manually."
"Windows Autopilot is very stable."
"It is the only choice if you're managing Windows devices with Intune and Azure."

Cons

"Companies like SOTI and Mobile Iron are working with Google to help them manage these devices and eliminate the use of bar code scanner sales and mobile device sales. That's kind of crazy."
"There is room for improvement in the support."
"The management console could be improved to be a little bit more user-friendly. Some of the stuff is a little bit cumbersome, some of it feels like an engineering solution, but otherwise it's pretty good."
"They should improve the lockdown feature."
"They could make it easier to configure. While setting it up from scratch, I find many networking issues, and I have to call our network people for them, but our network people don't understand."
"Adding more features for iOS devices would be an improvement."
"The price of this solution is high when you compare it with Microsoft Intune."
"I have used Microsoft Intune but it is more complicated than SOTI MobiControl."
"We encounter issues with re-registering devices in the Azure domain."
"They could provide an executable and user-friendly wizard for installation and automatic removal, making it easier for users."
"The Azure and Intune platform is not always available and quite often, there are service outages."
"If Microsoft can automatically add the license serial numbers, or have a method for us to get those serial numbers added to Windows Autopilot, apart from having to go through the device manufacturer that would greatly improve the solution."
"I think they can improve the time it takes to provide the exact solution which will assist in rectifying a particular issue."
"Windows Autopilot could improve its user interface. While it is a good tool, there are other options available that are more user-friendly."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"On a scale of one to ten, where one is a low price, and ten is a high price, I rate the pricing a five."
"The product is reasonably priced at the moment."
"There are solutions that can be more aggressively priced, but they may not provide all that SOTI does. It's a matrix regarding what feature you use. You need to compare the features you use and what you are willing to pay for them... SOTI's pricing is okay. It's in the middle... They can provide more aggressive pricing once you start to have a lot of licenses."
"It is an expensive product."
"The price is average. SOTI manages the price according to the type of client they have. I would rate the cost as five out of ten."
"There are no costs in addition to the standard licensing fees."
"SOTI's pricing seems to be competitive."
"Its pricing policy is not stable. The licensing is on a one-yearly, two-yearly, or three-yearly basis. There is no monthly fee."
"We are required to have a license for either EMS, E5, or E2."
"As far as I know, there isn't an additional cost specifically for Windows Autopilot itself. You'll need to consider the licensing fees for the software you install on the machines, such as Windows and Office. Overall, it is a valuable tool that simplifies the deployment process, making life easier for those involved."
