Achieving Seamless Email Security and Encryption while Managing Temporary Email Storage Limits
We continue to use Sophos products and remain with the company. For firewall protection, we use XGS systems. We have provided Sophos Email Gateway for one of our clients. We have integrated Sophos Email with our internal email server, using it for both outbound and inbound traffic. Integration with Office 365 protection for Sophos Email Security works smoothly without any challenges. The solution is totally cloud-based. I recommend Sophos Email for mid-sized companies as it is a good option, though it may not be ideal for large-scale or small businesses. I have not tried incorporating AI technology with Sophos Email yet. I am Bhanu Prakash, Technical Head for Systek Services, and can be reached at b.hanu@teamsistek.com. I am a partner with Sophos. Overall rating for Sophos Email: 10/10.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The solution protects users from phishing links and spam."
"The most significant aspect is the response filtering concerning attachments and links."
"I cannot guarantee any email by its name. It can be spam. Sophos Email helps to double-check whether an email is spam or not. It has a dashboard which gives an overview of the alerts."
"Our client recently received many emails, and their employees didn't realize these emails were phishing attempts. Consequently, they clicked on them and fell victim to the attack. Therefore, it is important to secure their system with Sophos Email Security."
"The most valuable feature is its email security."
"When you say email security, it's about everything, incoming email, outgoing email, spam, phishing emails, unwanted marketing emails. You can set rules, but the main feature of Sophos Email is to make sure you don't get hacked. 95% of people who are hacked do not get hacked by typing the router password. They are hacked from the inside out, which means they send you a document that is a zero-day attack, you open it, nothing happens, but technically the attack is running in the background of your computer. This is how they gain access to your PC."
"The speed and stability were fine."
"Sophos Email is a stable solution."
"One of the most valuable features is the protection against vulnerabilities, particularly through virtual patching."
"The initial setup is simple."
"What I find most valuable with the solution is that it can integrate with cloud solutions, such as Google and Microsoft. Additionally, the solution is easy to use."
"Trellix Collaboration Security is valued for being a stable and comprehensive solution that fulfills customer needs."
"We have had very good results from the use of FireEye Email Security. We are very comfortable with this technology, but I don't know if it's necessary to move into the cloud, we will check other technologies and study them. Additionally, the solution has good integration."
"One of the valuable features of the product stems from the fact that it is easy to implement the tool in our environment."
"The solution's most valuable feature is its simplicity. It's very user-friendly."
"The auto-remediation feature is valuable."

Cons

"Sophos Email needs to increase the number of promos."
"It was sometimes hard to find the settings in the solution's interface."
"Email installation could be more user-friendly so that it can be done without involving the partner"
"Sophos Email could improve DLP features."
"However, the setup was tricky, particularly with the DNS routing between Microsoft Exchange Online and Sophos cloud services. It took me about four attempts to get it working correctly. Despite that, Sophos Email does everything we need, so we don't require any additional capabilities now."
"Lacks visibility into spam emails."
"I would like to see improvements in the initial setup process, ensuring better compatibility with diverse customer infrastructures."
"The tool has some performance issues and bugs, making it an area where improvements are required."
"In general, our company should make the tool more robust to protect our systems."
"FireEye needs single sign-on. They say it's on their roadmap. They should also implement support for Microsoft Authenticator app for 2FA."
"Sometimes, integration can be challenging, impacting its stability, which is why I rate it a five out of ten."
"There is a need for improved integration with totally different products, such as a rapid server."
"The reporting aspect of the solution needs improvement."
"I would rate them as a 1.5. The new hub created in India is not good."
"The custom tailoring is limited."
"The spam detection feature could be better."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Sophos Email is priced lower than its competitors."
"The tool's pricing is medium."
"The pricing is affordable, so I’d rate it around a four out of ten on the pricing scale. We pay about fifty pounds a month, including hardware so that costs may differ without it."
"I rate the product's pricing a seven out of ten."
"The product is cheaper compared to other solutions."
"Sophos Email is a little expensive for us, but it's necessary. We have a subscription and renew it every three years."
"There is an additional fee for their central managed console."
"The pricing could improve by having additional discounts. For example, when customers buy have more than 50 or more users, there should be additional discounts."
"The cost is very high."
"The solution requires a license to be purchased for every user."
"I rate the product price as nine out of ten, where ten is the most expensive, and one is the cheapest. There is no need to pay any extra charges apart from the licensing costs."
"The licensing is on a yearly basis."
