Hybrid data platform has delivered reliable transactions and powerful performance for our apps
One of the most important points about PostgreSQL on Ubuntu is that it is free. We do not have to worry about cost per core. It is a fully-featured database that supports a lot of features that modern applications need. In fact, it even supports document-based databases. It is quite a powerful solution. The performance of PostgreSQL on Ubuntu's parallel query executions was very good. That is why we selected the solution. We utilize ACID transactions with PostgreSQL on Ubuntu. ACID transactions impact our data reliability in our work significantly. Reliability is very important and ACID helps us reach that goal. Regarding isolation specifically, our application did not require any specific isolation of transactions, but overall, ACID is still very important.

Collaborative development has become more secure and efficient for our team
We have faced some issues with Windows OneDrive because if one developer has a folder in a common OneDrive folder, it took some time to show it to others. It becomes somewhat difficult to work, as there is latency on that, so if you update that, it will be more efficient and useful for the developers. My main focus on Windows 10 is the giving of regular updates, so it might take some time to update Windows, which is also mandatory. As a developer, when we are working with Windows 10, if it takes more time to update and restart the PC, it affects our efficiency at work. If we could stop the updates on a regular basis or if they were delivered faster, it would be easier. As a developer, the frequent updates are too annoying for working on it, so it would be better if we stop the frequent updates and only provide the most important ones. Performance issues over time due to background apps and programs piling up and using an SSD instead of a hard disk are also concerns.

Cons

"PostgreSQL on Ubuntu can be improved because it is a bit slower than other solutions I have used."
"It's an expensive solution."
"The product must reduce the number of updates."

"If Microsoft could find a way to better manage updates and patches, that could be more useful for end users, which would be good."
"of the problems with Windows 10 is that it hangs when you open multiple programs."
"The core of the operating system needs work to become more stable and less complex. The need to occasionally re-install should not be necessary."
"The connection with the Apple product could be better."
"I don't face major challenges with Windows 10. My main concern is how the system protects against hackers, especially after recent reports of systems being accessed without user knowledge. For improvements, since Microsoft plans to stop supporting Windows 10 soon, it might be better to focus on Windows 11. However, if I had to suggest improvements for Windows 10, I'd recommend including convenient features like those in Apple products. For example, Apple's easy printer setup without needing to install drivers."
