It has helped us speed up the turnaround time on our consolidation, and we haven't had anything come up that the program has not been able to solve
The part that we liked about Excel is that it had a better interface in terms of just graphical illustration of our results. So, if we wanted to look at our financial trends and put it into some type of graphical interface for people to look at, we still have to leverage Excel for that. The dashboards aren't as usable as maybe some of the other solutions, such as Tableau or other BI tools. The application that we use today for our BI tools is Tableau. That's how people absorb information. We don't really use the functionality or dashboards within Planful because of the robustness of Tableau. That's our single source of data. If Planful was better or more comparable in terms of features and functionality, we could probably leverage that in Planful.

Brings reporting, planning, and prediction together in one seamless workflow
I think the areas of SAP Analytics Cloud that could be improved or enhanced are mentioned by users or companies, and they would definitely mention the price in terms of planning licensing. From a consulting point of view, I don't see any major weaknesses. It is reasonably well-developed, and the perfect strength is that innovations are coming on a quarterly basis. It is slightly behind other tools in terms of the number of graphical outputs. Some tools have it faster, but every increment of innovations contains new features. On the other hand, it is perfectly fitting to the SAP environment, with seamless integration to all SAP modules, not only ERP but also SuccessFactors and other tools from the SAP family, for example, integrated business planning for the production planning. This is really a highlight compared to other tools.

Pros

"Planful has probably cut our time in half, given that we can now leverage the cloud-based services to interact with our subs for getting their forecast inputs."
"It has helped us speed up the turnaround time on our consolidation. We don't have to do reporting in Excel anymore, which has cut down on the errors and the efficiency of our close time."
"I believe the ROI is very high."
"SAP Analytics Hub offers a user-friendly interface with effortless configuration, seamless updates, and real-time availability of information. It avoids the complexities associated with batch processing, providing a smooth and efficient experience."
"I like the product's capabilities; the clarity and scenarios are the main features that allow us to forecast using machine learning algorithms and make decisions."
"I like the predictive features of SAP. It's easy to use tools for an end-user."
"Technical support is helpful."
"There is a really nice insight feature that I enjoy using."
"It is scalable."
"SAP Analytics Cloud is a very good tool, the feature that's most useful for me is the reporting as it can be done via Google Chrome, and the solution is also very nice, user-friendly, and easy to build, making it very easy to use the features of SAP Analytics Cloud."
"I like the product's capabilities. The clarity and scenarios are the main features that allow us to forecast using machine learning algorithms and make decisions."

Cons

"The part that we liked about Excel is that it had a better interface in terms of just graphical illustration of our results. "The part that we liked about Excel is that it had a better interface in terms of just graphical illustration of our results."
"Some of the behind the scenes processing for the simulation engines has a learning curve to use in that there are certain changes that need to happen for the reporting to be "Live"."
"I would also like to have more advanced features for predictive analytics."
"Sometimes we have difficulty connecting to a SharePoint list."
"The connection works only for importing data. Currently, there is no real-time integration between SAP Analytics Cloud and CRM. There are some features present in the classic but not in the optimized version. If I need to create something specific, I often have to switch the versions. It would be more convenient to have a single product that incorporates all the necessary features."
"However, I must note that the process is quite lengthy. When it comes to purchasing or licensing, the account manager available in Saudi Arabia takes much longer to process."
"It's lacking a bit in maturity and we find we can't replace our existing mode 1 analytics tool until it's improved."
"Documentation-wise, we see some gaps when trying to connect different solutions. Some generic documents are available, but the steps maintained are not accurate. There is room for improvement in documentation."
"Custom visuals is another area of improvement. There are also some mobile features that are missing. There are features that aren't available on the mobile."
"The integration with other vendors and solutions could be improved."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Right now, everything is on a three-year term contract, and that is our main cost."
"The tool's pricing is medium, and licensing costs are yearly."
"It is not the most expensive one. You have to do the cost-of-ownership analysis and take a lot of things into consideration to come up with the conclusion that it is cheaper or not, but its price is reasonable. It provides value for money."
"The platform is about 50% more expensive than Power BI."
"Its price is slightly on the higher side."
"I don't have the exact price for SAP Analytics Cloud, but it could be improved and made cheaper, especially when compared to Power BI."
"Its licensing is on a monthly basis."
"The pricing of this product is reasonable."
