Facilitating real-time business insights with enhanced data querying
Coherence is beneficial due to its multi-indexing to the same object and filtering based on data attributes within the object, followed by aggregation. These features facilitate querying data with multiple keys rather than just a single key. Its real-time data processing capabilities provide insights for business decisions with up-to-date information.

Extensive functionality impresses despite occasional setup complexity
The functions and features of Oracle Enterprise Manager that I have found most valuable are its evolution from being problematic in 10g and 11g versions to becoming better and more stable. Now it has become a significantly improved product. We have integrated identity management, and we are using it for normal database examination, tuning, and performance. We are working with STATSPACK and similar tools that are integrated in Oracle Enterprise Manager. We are currently working with version 13.5, having upgraded from 13.4 last year. Automation is useful for improving operational efficiency, and there are many more opportunities to automate outside the databases. Not many things need to be automated inside the databases. We have jobs running, imports, exports, and similar tasks. To automate these processes, we utilize the Scheduler from Oracle, which is managed in the databases by the vendor. This is not part of our DBA functions in Oracle Enterprise Manager.

Pros

"Oracle Coherence improved site performance and the customer experience."
"It can handle an extremely high volume of data."
"A single logical cache scattered across various geographies ensured we had only one cache to look against (location transparency) at the same time, ensuring high availability."
"This product helped our organization to focus on implementing business logic without worrying about scalability on user loads of huge data queries."
"Coherence absolutely outperforms others in terms of scalability, reliability, and performance."
"Basically reducing response times to extremely small latencies in their apps."
"High availability, distributed calculation features, and WebLogic integration are the most valuable features to me."
"Since we implemented Coherence, this data is in memory all the time; so the results are found in milliseconds instead of five seconds."
"One of the most valuable features of Oracle Enterprise Manager has been the preventive reporting capability."
"We use it extensively for performance tuning testing, monitoring, and configuration."
"I rate Oracle Enterprise Manager eight out of 10 for stability."
"The most valuable feature is its ability to integrate directly into S Space and move data, run business rules, run calculation scripts, and things like that."
"It is a scalable solution. So far, my company has not faced any issues with the scalability part of the solution."
"It is the most up-to-date tool as of now for monitoring, that's it."

Cons

"Initially, our deal was for three years, and we extended it to five years. Oracle solutions are very costly."

"The licensing is the responsibility of our customers."
