Integration and flexibility deliver outstanding business experiences with innovative platforms enhancements
Scale is a primary concern. If the product vision continues to serve small and mid-cap companies, they need to continue incorporating features into the out-of-the-box solution because small-caps typically lack budget for in-house IT organizations to customize and maintain systems. If they want to expand beyond mid-cap and enter the large-cap market, they need to consider balance and provide more customizability. This includes extending process flows through more APIs and building a more modular architecture with granular backend exposed via API. The process layer should allow clients to customize while invoking back-office APIs. The general perception positions Microsoft Dynamics GP in the middle of the market. Systems such as NetSuite and ServiceNow occupy the lower category, providing narrow use cases. Microsoft Dynamics GP offers more breadth and out-of-the-box capabilities at a slightly higher price point. At the top end, SAP, Oracle, and Salesforce offer extensive customizability at a premium price, suitable for large organizations with multiple transactions and customers. Microsoft Dynamics GP currently occupies a favorable position in the middle segment with limited competition.

I use Sage Business Cloud Enterprise Management to digitize our processes. I put our work and the opportunities on the platform, validate financial offers, and manage fees from transport and financial management.  I also use the system for record-keeping of client information and work…

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"I’ve implemented several hundred Microsoft Dynamics GP systems for many customers, and the improvements brought about in the client’s reporting and transaction functions are off the charts."
"Snowflake's ability to handle large queries efficiently is very beneficial, unlike other databases which can take a significant amount of time for similar tasks."
"We have gained the capability to control and address various issues within the financial module effectively."
"It's enhanced by a subscription billing add-on, to efficiently automate billing and invoicing, particularly due to our substantial customer database."
"The stability was reliable."
"All versions were exceptional at making our accounting staff's jobs far easier."
"We have not encountered any noteworthy scalability issues; it’s a matter of increasing the power of the servers and hardware/software that it runs on."
"The fixed assets, payroll, the data module, and user-friendliness are most valuable."
"The accounting part and the procurement part are most valuable. It is a very good system with workflows and notifications."
"The accounting part and the procurement part are most valuable; it is a very good system with workflows and notifications."
"The most valuable feature of Sage Business Cloud Enterprise Management is the business intelligence module. Additionally, report consolidation, cloud access, and analysis are useful."
"The interface is rich in features, allowing efficient management of business operations."
"The solution is parameterized so it naturally has the ability to parameterize, configure, and adapt to various organizational procedures."
"The initial setup is not complex. The deployment process was relatively straightforward."
"Sage Business Cloud Enterprise Management has helped by making processes such as calculating costs, accessing inventory information quickly, validating offers, and extracting data easier."

Cons

"Initially, we encountered challenges, particularly with users transitioning from their previous applications."
"It still can be improved in web-based and build reporting. "
"There should also be extra redundancy when posting to modules."
"The purchase order and processing aspects of the solution should be improved."
"Many of our customers are migrating to the cloud rather than staying on-premises."
"Not quite all the reports are fully exportable to Excel."
"It requires a lot of expertise to implement."
"As technology changes, I would say probably in the area of chart up account needs improvement because chart up account is a string. So if they make it more flexible."
"It is not suitable for corporate or manufacturing companies. For example, it's challenging to use it for a manufacturing company."
"Integration with other tools like BOM or Cisco BlueQ could be improved."
"The solution does not have a solid, out-of-the-box API architecture that is supported."
"Its implementation process is kind of complicated. If the person implementing it doesn't know what he is doing, the system can have many issues. Sage X3 is just an accounting system. As compared to Oracle E-Business Suite, it does not cover a lot of functionality. It doesn't have the payroll, lease management, and HR modules. Oracle E-Business Suite is better than Sage X3."
"Integration with other tools like BOM or Cisco BlueQ could be improved."
"Sage Business Cloud Enterprise Management could improve the search functionality. For example, if I was to search for a transaction from last year it would be difficult to accomplish. I have to scroll through to find what I am looking for. The approach should be more similar to Quickbooks where when you search for something it takes you directly to the searched item."
"Sage X3 is just an accounting system. As compared to Oracle E-Business Suite, it does not cover a lot of functionality."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"In comparison to other ERP systems, the pricing is not necessarily inexpensive, but it can be considered more cost-effective."
"We evaluated some local products, because of the pricing, but this product has better features and support."
"For us, in our local currency, it costs us around 5 million Botswanan Pulas a year. It's quite a lot of money."
"It is an affordable solution."
"I would say that the pricing is moderate, not cheap, and not expensive. There are many more expensive ERPs than GP, and there are less expensive as well, so it is moderately priced."
"I think the tool is competitively priced and it's more of a one-time investment with a low annual renewal fee."
"Its pricing and licensing are high. Of course, we all know that it is Microsoft."
"The solution's price is steep."
"The solution delivers the same capabilities of SAP or Oracle at about 30% to 40% of the cost."
"The cost is not expensive."
"It is very cheap. There are no additional charges, but the problem is that you have to acquire an additional supporting system such as a budgeting system. You will have to implement the integration and maintain two systems. So, you need to pay for the license of that budgeting system and this one. You also need to pay the license for the payroll and integration. There are all these integrations that you have to pay for."
"The price of this solution is expensive. However, it depends on the number of branches used. The price can be upwards of $40,000 annually."
