We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"It is strong in integration.""The most valuable feature is the ability to easily update and maintain accurate data across all aspects of our operations.""I haven't used it a lot, but the best thing is that the processes are very detailed.""The system is easy to customize and has user-friendly access. ""You can track everything from beginning to end quite easily.""The stability was reliable.""It's enhanced by a subscription billing add-on, to efficiently automate billing and invoicing, particularly due to our substantial customer database.""It is a tried and tested ERP system which if used correctly, is definitely a very good program for managing all aspects of a business from customer sales, and receivables management, to payable management and finance reporting. So, it's super critical for any mid-sized company."

"NetSuite OneWorld, the consolidation feature has been incredibly valuable. However, I cannot speak to the full range of features and functionalities offered by OneWorld as I am not familiar with all of them. I have utilized OneWorld primarily in the biotech industry, with a focus on operating expenses and financial reporting, such as capital contributions and foreign currency adjustments. I am confident, however, that OneWorld offers a robust module for reporting and consolidating revenue, though I have not had the opportunity to directly utilize this aspect of the software.""The executive dashboards have satisfied the founders and leadership with up to the minute information. This allows them to make high level decisions.""NetSuite OneWorld is a single instance that allows you to do different business functions, such as reporting, order-to-cash, design-build, and procure-to-pay. This feature is what's most valuable in the solution.""The ability to customize it to create custom fields that are reportable, and then to be able to write script behind it to automate other processes that might otherwise be manual is great.""We've set up Jira integration and used robotic process automation (RPA) to streamline various processes, like procurement and invoicing. Some processes still require manual approval, like supplier invoices, but we're simplifying those too. We're also exploring integrating with other tools like Power BI for better data analytics and reporting. Currently, our automation focuses on general tasks, not document understanding or anything complex like that.""Allows us to use it the way we need to instead of changing our needs and processes to fit the product.""The solution is scalable.""Inventory management in NetSuite OneWorld is one of the best in the industry, so this feature is what I like most about the solution."

Cons
"The issue we're encountering is that it's primarily designed for independent installations and not initially structured as a cloud-based solution, which has led to challenges with connectivity.""Many of our customers are migrating to the cloud rather than staying on-premises.""Dynamics GP could be improved in terms of its usability and modernization.""As technology changes, I would say probably in the area of chart up account needs improvement because chart up account is a string. So if they make it more flexible.""It still can be improved in web-based and build reporting. ""What could be improved is the functionality of Dynamics GP because it requires a lot of development by the programmers and the company in order to integrate into a solution.""With payroll, the payroll that they have offers US or Canadian tax. However, here, our tax payments are different from the US and Canada. It is very difficult to put in our tax tables. We need some customization. It should be readily available for any country to use according to their tax implications. The system should know different types of tax regimes around the world so that it can accommodate. It's a little bit rigid on that.""It requires a lot of expertise to implement."

"There is not a 20 year pedigree of pharma experience in the NetSuite channel. While there are many of these CMO Pharma companies rapidly moving to NetSuite, there are few consultants with true pharma experience. Those who have experience are stretched pretty thin.""NetSuite OneWorld, the consolidation feature has been incredibly valuable. However, I cannot speak to the full range of features and functionalities offered by OneWorld as I am not familiar with all of them. I have utilized OneWorld primarily in the biotech industry, with a focus on operating expenses and financial reporting, such as capital contributions and foreign currency adjustments. I am confident, however, that OneWorld offers a robust module for reporting and consolidating revenue, though I have not had the opportunity to directly utilize this aspect of the software.""The solution could improve by having more integration.""Needs time entry for billable employees.""Project collaboration through Dashboard Business Management and Relations Management is easy to perform, but it does need to be worked on as it is difficult for customers, suppliers, and internal users to use.""Certain analytics features are missing that I've come to expect from other systems. Additionally, there are occasional issues with data accuracy that need to be addressed. Overall, deeper analytics capabilities would greatly improve the tool's usefulness for me.""Some entities are not available for multiple subsidiaries, which requires duplication.""If you were to use standard costs, it doesn't handle standard costs well."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "Its pricing and licensing are high. Of course, we all know that it is Microsoft."
  • "We evaluated some local products, because of the pricing, but this product has better features and support."
  • "For us, in our local currency, it costs us around 5 million Botswanan Pulas a year. It's quite a lot of money."
  • "The solution's price is steep."
  • "I think the tool is competitively priced and it's more of a one-time investment with a low annual renewal fee."
  • "I would say that the pricing is moderate, not cheap, and not expensive. There are many more expensive ERPs than GP, and there are less expensive as well, so it is moderately priced."
  • "In comparison to other ERP systems, the pricing is not necessarily inexpensive, but it can be considered more cost-effective."
  • "It is an affordable solution."

  • "Consider the roles of the employees who will use NetSuite and identify any groups who will only utilize the employee center. These licenses are cheaper and will reduce costs significantly."
  • "Measure twice, cut once."
  • "Good solution for the price, but hire a skilled project manager to handle the technical setup."
  • "Do not try to go it alone. Get a consultant who has been there and listens."
  • "NetSuite offers a great many advantages, including a cost of about third of the traditional pharma manufacturing ERP packages."
  • "NetSuite OneWorld is much less expensive for a very small to medium-sized business. Still, when you grow into an enterprise-level company, the price increases, but as long as you plan and know that going in, it's manageable."
  • "NetSuite OneWorld has fair pricing. It was not very expensive, so price-wise, I'm rating it as five out of ten."
  • "NetSuite OneWorld tends to be pricey. The decision to allocate a budget for this solution ultimately rests with the management and negotiating team, and I am not typically included in these discussions. Nonetheless, the information I've received leads me to believe that it is a costly platform. There are not any additional costs that I am aware of."
