Gained full visibility and streamlined threat detection through behavior-based insights and AI integration
Initially, we got to have a lot of false positives when we onboarded, but nowadays it's quite smooth. We have fine-tuned our security policies and allowed different levels of policies to get rid of those false positives. Currently, we are getting a fairly good amount of incidents that are not false positives or benign, but actionable items. The process is streamlined. In the initial days, the operations used to get involved in a lot of benign and other activities, but now the process is streamlined. We are leveraging the auto-detection and remediation plans. The operations teams are now more involved in other business roles as well, not just looking into the logs and fetching out what's happening there. They have fixed a lot of things. Initially, they didn't have IAC code drift detection, cloud posture management, or security posture management, but they have those now. They purchased different vendors and did a merger with that. They have now Prisma Cloud that gets integrated and now they are working with Cortex Cloud. Everything that was negative has now been addressed, and the product altogether looks to be in a very better and mature shape now. Currently, it's more or less detecting the workloads with AI-based best practices. Since most organizations are consuming AI agents and other things, we are looking forward to seeing what other feature enhancements Palo Alto can support in that.

Exceptional malware protection with regular updates and behavior-based detection
There are no built-in backups or integrated backup options, which could be an opportunity. The free version is effective, however, the paid version is pricey compared to it. Other customers have mentioned issues with false positives. It lacks enterprise-level management and more enterprise functionality. CrowdStrike and SentinelOne are much more enterprise-grade solutions. Malwarebytes has limited integration with cybersecurity tools and lacks enterprise integrations because it is not an enterprise product.

Achieve effective email management while identifying areas for security upgrades
There are a couple of issues we have encountered while using Trend Micro Worry-Free Services Suites for the past four or five years. The first is the Business Email Compromise (BEC) issue. Even though we configured the business email compromise option, we still face this issue sometimes where people are getting emails directly with our email ID. We were not able to get a satisfactory answer from them regarding the BEC issue. The ransomware protection issue for the old servers or outdated servers and recovery of the data needs improvement in Trend Micro Worry-Free Services Suites. The ransomware protection issue for old servers and business email compromise also needs to be upgraded because even though it's configured, we still face this BEC issue. The response time of the support also needs improvement.

Pros

"From a single pane of glass, you can easily manage all of your endpoints."
"The multi-layered approach to the product gives you confidence that it will stop exploits, ransomware, worms, or viruses from compromising endpoints, essentially providing peace of mind."

"Cortex XDR's most valuable feature is its intelligence-based dashboards."
"The most valuable features are incident creation, policy-based protection, IP whitelisting, and device encryption. These are beneficial for endpoint and server security."
"The management capabilities, allow an IT organization to get quite a good picture of attempted cyber attacks."
"The stability is pretty good except for one or two cases, and based on the performance, it's been okay with pretty high performance, no bugs or glitches, and it doesn't crash or freeze."
"The normal protection was really effective, and we detected situations that if we didn't have Cortex XDR by Palo Alto Networks, it's highly likely that we would have been affected, but it protected the infrastructure."
"We have a small IT team, and being able to manage even a small fleet of devices that are out in the field and being able to respond and remediate really quickly from the cloud-based console has been really helpful for us."
"It gets the job done, and they are consistently updating it monthly."
"It allows us to have better knowledge of the way people use the tool and how we can improve their workflows."
"We don't have to spend any time remediating bad things happening: Not viruses nor ransomware."

"We have seen a decrease of approximately ninety percent in the number of events."
"The most important feature is behaviour detection."
"We use the solution for endpoint protection, malware detection, and detecting unsafe web access."

Cons

"A better pricing plan would make this product more competitive."
"Cortex XDR by Palo Alto Networks is a very good product, but financially, it is very expensive, so the company should look into that area."
"Cortex XDR by Palo Alto Networks is not only pricey; it is extremely expensive."
"Currently, if you use Palo Alto endpoint protection as the only solution it's very complicated to remove pre-existing threats."
"We had a problem with getting our older endpoints up to date, but their newest updates have been really good."
"When it comes to core analysis, and security analysis, Cortex needs to provide more information."
"Cortex XDR by Palo Alto Networks can improve mobile integration to allow access to the console."
"While using Cortex, I noticed some aspects that could be improved, such as increasing the synchronization speed between XDR and Xnor."
"In my opinion, it's not very scalable, at least the way we use it at this point in time."
"It's not good in search hunting."
"I would like to see integration with other vendors going forward."
"The stability and performance of the solution are areas with shortcomings that need improvement."
"There hasn't been an ROI because we haven't had an event that would cause this software to do something. Therefore, at this point, it has just been a cost to us because we haven't gotten anything out of it."
"It is one of the worst products which I have ever used."
"The technical support could be improved; we find we have to make several requests before an issue is looked into."
"Malwarebytes is too simplistic. From a SOC IR perspective, it doesn't give you very much data around it."
"The EDR part of the product is an area of concern where improvements are required."
"The licensing aspect seems costly, and the license cost increases yearly, which is a concern for us."
"The solution's documentation is not good, and I'm struggling to change global configurations."
"The log management feature needs to be improved, specifically, the ability to send logs from the console via API."
"Trend Micro Worry-Free Sevices Suits' pricing remains a concern for our non-profit organization. Despite receiving some discounts, we find the pricing on the higher side."
"The solution’s scalability is limited."
"The pricing of Trend Micro is a little bit higher compared to Sophos."
"Trend Micro should improve its Worry-Free Services Suites, particularly the agent for Windows operating systems."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"It is present, but when compared to other competitive products, I would say it is not less expensive; however, when all of the other added values are considered, the price is reasonable."
"Compared to CrowdStrike, Cortex XDR is an expensive solution."
"The tool's price is moderate."
"I don't have any issues with the pricing. We are satisfied with the price."
"It's way too expensive, but security is expensive. You pay for your licensing, and then you pay for someone to monitor the stuff."
"Our customers have expressed that the price is high."
"Cortex XDR’s pricing is very reasonable."
"It has a higher cost than other solutions, like CrowdStrike or Microsoft’s EDR tools, but it reduces the cost of our operations because it’s a new generation antivirus tool."
"Malwarebytes is a cost-effective product."
"On a scale of one to ten, where one is a low price and ten is a high price, I rate the product's pricing a seven."
"We expect to pay $1,000 USD a month, depending on the number of users."
"I would say that it's affordable. It costs much less than Sentinel One, CrowdStrike, or anything of that nature. But, at the same time, you are getting what you pay for. So I would say it's one of the best when you're comparing traditional NextGen AVs like Webroot that aren't the best in the bunch."
"The platform pricing is competitive with other antivirus products."
"I rate the tool's pricing a five out of ten."
"The price of Malwarebytes is in the middle range compared to other vendors."
"Yearly, it is around $50 per client."
"The product is available at a very good price point."
"We pay a yearly licensing fee for the solution, which is too expensive."
"I rate the tool's pricing a five out of ten."
