Can connect to any data source so we don't need to replicate data into a data warehouse to do reporting analytics

Having been a customer of theirs for a long time, I think the UI needed improvements early on. But, they have done a remarkable job catching up in that regard. They have always been great at connecting to a variety of data sources. They are a leader in that space. They do a great job, from a business analyst perspective, helping you shape what the ultimate system is going to look like. There really aren't a lot of areas that need improvement. The areas that they have, they are keenly aware of and have made great strides in recent releases.

Low-code platform needs knowledge of coding and best practices to make it work best.

This is not a stable solution. When work has been done on screen A, for example, this has lead to a downfall in screen B. This has occurred even when there appears to be connection between the two. This is mostly happening because developers are not using of are not aware of best practices within platforms. It's like Excel. I can make a lot in Excel, but if my calculations are wrong, it's me that is in the fault, not Excel.

"When designing the user interface, there are many built-in features; however, Vinyl could use some more extensive design elements that are used in marketing, such as Canva or Web design tools. These would allow for more extensive design elements to be added more easily."

"Some aspects of VINYL are limiting from a B2C standpoint. For example, it would be nice to have more flexibility with what the VINYL parameters allow us to develop within the app. It is difficult to think of an example off the top of my head, but there have been times when we couldn't develop something a particular way because VINYL didn't support it. However, the team Zudy assigned to us has been great about adjusting and finding ways around these hurdles."

"It might help if they put out different types that would provide different ways to view the data. I'd like to see more on that."

"When you are trying to delete certain columns or delete or drop tables, it will throw an error and it will force you to hunt down every location where those things are being referenced. You have to delete them from the very end and work your way backward... It would be easier, when you're deleting that table, if it would concatenate all the way down."

"Some new features I think I'd like to see is visibility into running jobs so that we can see what the status is, or it's not stuck in its process and doing its thing, or how much longer it's going to take. I'd also like to see a native calendaring function so we can put calendars into our apps with maybe even recurring tasks or appointments and that sort of thing. We'd also like to see multi-select lists. The users being able to pick multiple things to filter on and get a list and be able to export that list."

"You always look for the underlying cost, there's always underlying costs but the value is fine. I don't think it should cost any more. You pay for the software but you're also paying for their employees, when they work onsite for you."

"The key thing here is that the pricing is just one price. We can do as much or as little with the product as we want to which is very attractive. I don't have to worry about if I build a new app, I have to pay more. Or, if I put 20 more people logging into the app, I don't have to pay any extra for that either."

"The pricing and licensing of Zudy are fair."

"We also pay for the managed services help that we get from them. But, to me, it is a very effective cost model. Licenses are relatively inexpensive, then you pay by the drink in terms of the managed services that you are going to need, which has been great. We figure out where we want to apply those services and try to be pretty diligent about managing the costs there."

"Compared to if I used traditional methods, such as hiring developers and setting up systems, VINYL is costing me less than half of what it would normally cost."
