Allows users to easily monitor miscellaneous activities occurring in their environments
The product's price is an area of concern where improvements are required. It would be good if Jamf Protect could be integrated with Jamf Pro and used as a single solution. There are a couple of improvements where there is a need to change a few things. There are also a couple of things that need to be removed and merged into the main tool, Jamf Pro. The solution's technical team needs to improve because somewhere I felt from my personal experience that unless Jamf's team puts in an effort to understand the requirements of its customers, help can't be provided. The help provided by Jamf's team is on the basis of what they know, so I feel that they need to put a bit of effort into understanding what customers expect from the product.

A product that offers good threat detection capabilities to its users
The product has improved my company through its area of threat detection. The other applications use the same engine as Symantec Endpoint Security Enterprise. Symantec Endpoint Security Enterprise does not have a set of 100 percent useful things in the tool. Sometimes, a user may know that a file system does not contain any viruses, but it is labeled as a virus by Symantec Endpoint Security Enterprise, making it an issue for users. The aforementioned problem prompts me to contact the product support team via email so that my company can get some help dealing with such problems. I would say that my experience with deploying the product across multiple devices in my company is not tough and can be easy, especially if you have domain environments. The feature of the product that is the most effective for threat prevention stems from the fact that the tool provides updates. The main problem with the solution is that a user has to do the updates manually, so at times, the product is not useful, especially when the machine has to be shut down for updates when new viruses are introduced on the market. I rate the solution's ease of use and administration a seven and a half out of ten. I suggest that those who plan to buy the solution periodically update the product, especially in the area of the virus engine. I rate the tool an eight out of ten.

"The behavioral detection is valuable."
"I rate the technical support a ten out of ten."
"Jamf Protect searches incoming and outgoing traffic for malware to monitor the network for security."
"The most valuable features of Symantec Endpoint Security Enterprise are the proactive threat protection and the normal spyware protection which they offer in addition to catching standard threats. It all works well for us even without an EDR."
"The endpoint protection features are valuable."
"The tool is a secure and stable workstation for checking antivirus. The alerting feature helps us see alerts and is easy to control. The main benefit we derive from using Symantec Endpoint Security Enterprise is stability."
"It doesn't require an on-premises server to manage it. It allows us to monitor the machine to check if it is up-to-date and not lagging."
"Symantec is a little bit better at remediating or preventing things in general."
"The most valuable feature of Symantec Endpoint Security Enterprise is the application. Additionally, they are adding features frequently."
"The best feature is the firewall that lets us allow or block ports. That's a great tool because we can limit specific types of traffic on user devices and apply granular security controls to IPs and ports."
"Anti-malware is the most valuable feature. We trust Symantec for protection, and we like the idea that Symantec is preventing us from accessing certain websites that are known for containing malware."

Cons

Currently, it requires a separate subscription and agent installation, which I think could be more streamlined for unified management from a single agent."
"The solution could always be more stable and more user-friendly."
"In the future, Symantec Endpoint Security Enterprise should improve the firewall and documentation."
"We are currently looking at CrowdStrike as a replacement option because on-prem support is going away under Symantec."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Jamf Protect costs double the price that we were paying before."
"It's significantly cheaper than other options like ApexOne."
"Jamf Protect is an expensive solution."
"The licensing costs are yearly and expensive."
"I rate the product price as a five on a scale of one to ten, where one is a low price, and ten is a high price."
"I rate the tool's pricing a six out of ten."
"The solution's license is very expensive."
"The product is not very expensive."
"The tool fits within our budget. It is not expensive."
"I would rate it a seven, indicating a satisfactory and moderate level. Despite being somewhat on the expensive side, it aligns with our long-standing relationship with Symantec, and we find it acceptable."
"We have Symantec Endpoint Security Enterprise, and it's very competitively priced. However, there is a considerable jump in price for upgrading to the EDR, so that's more compatible with enterprise-level organizations."
"I rate the tool's pricing a six out of ten. For most organizations, the cost is between 70 and 100 dollars per user. The exact price depends on the selected features and the number of users. It's considered a premium cost for an enterprise Endpoint security solution."
"It's not the cheapest, but it's reasonably priced, around a five on a scale from one to ten. It's suitable for small, medium, and enterprise businesses and offers competitive pricing. There are no additional costs; it's a renewable purchase, either annually or as needed."
