Effortless policy management with built-in simplicity that enhances user experience
I work in kiosk delivery for my users' laptops and cellular phones It's very easy to use. It's very comfortable to work on Hexnode since its form and usage are very simple. The support is only available in English right now, which is a bit of a problem for my users since they would prefer…

Simplifies device management, making performing various administrative tasks easier
Sometimes, the server gets slow. The dashboard is only getting loaded. Jamf Pro offers many features, but some improvements could make it even more user-friendly. For example, streamlining authentication controls would enhance its security value. Too many complex settings on the dashboard make it hard for users to navigate. Simplifying the settings would make it easier to use. Adding a more interactive and cleaner UI design would also improve the user experience. Additionally, automatically categorizing policies and configurations by type would be helpful, making the dashboard more organized. Introducing auto-filtering based on categories would streamline configuration management. On the security side, enabling two-factor authentication for console login would provide better protection than single sign-on. Only authorized users can access sensitive data, like the asset inventory stored in the console. 2FA would help keep the system secure, preventing unauthorized access even if login credentials are compromised. Device management needs automation, and Jamf is likely to integrate Apple's Apple Intelligence into its framework once it's available. This integration is expected to be a significant enhancement for the Jamf console, potentially transforming the way device management is handled.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The agility is impressive, and it's simple to manage."
"It's very easy to use."
"The most valuable features are the Jamf agent and the API."
"The user interface is great."
"I can add policies, configuration profiles, patch management, and smart group membership to one single view, and this is very helpful at a glance."
"The solution has good integration with Google and has high performance for our Mac fleet of devices."
"The most valuable feature is the self-service, which lets users install their preferred application instead of installing all applications and filling the machine with junk."
"I like the ability to modify it to suit our environment and the fact that, since it's an Apple-dedicated service, the integration is easy."
"Thanks to Smart Groups and patch management, a lot of the work being done is via a hands-off approach."
"We were able to dramatically enhance our cybersecurity, and better support our users."

Cons

"The support is only available in English right now, which is a bit of a problem for my users since they would prefer Spanish support."
"The support is only available in English right now, which is a bit of a problem for my users since they would prefer Spanish support."
"The new remote support tool is still lacking features compared to other industry solutions."
"I'd like to see Jamf add Unified Endpoint Management, but it's not going to happen. It's too complex. We tried that for so many years, and no one can do this for Windows and macOS. It can be done with iOS, but that's not the case here. If you want device management for a real laptop operating system, you need two systems. They're very different."
"There are known issues with the mobile configs that need to be fixed."
"If it could do ticketing and non-Apple devices then that would be huge."
"Training should be more accessible and cheaper."
"A dark mode would for sure be appreciated."
"It would be amazing if they would give Apple TV management its own space in Jamf Pro and not just mix it in with devices."
"The response time for support could be significantly improved."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"The cost of this solution is expensive but worth it."
"The cost of any licensing is certainly outweighed by the time saved from manually managing Apple devices."
"I know that as a school we get a discounted price, which is good because without it we would not be able to afford it."
"The price of a training pass for five people was $18,000 USD."
"It seems fair. It could be a little bit less, but you have to pay for a product. You can't get something for free. You get what you pay for, so if you put in a little bit of money, you're going to get a good quality product."
"Don’t go into a sales call without knowing all the details of your system because Jamf has a ton of tools outside of Jamf Pro to offer and knowing them ahead of time is a must."
"Licensing cost is dependent on the footprint and foreseen growth."
"Depending on how much support you require, it might make sense to add that to the licensing agreement."
