"InfoSight is helpful because it is proactive support."
"Updates are very easy to do when the customer is connected to the internet."
"The most valuable features are its cost-effectiveness, performance, and its deduplication deficiencies."
"This product is very easy to set up."
"The most valuable features are the duplication and compression traffic. We have second storage that we can use for the synchronization of data between the data centers."
"Good architecture and produces a lot of IOPS."
"Some of the beneficial features I have found are the Block-level backups, the interface is easy to use, backups work well and the portal is functional."
"The most useful features are high availability and the storage snapshot backup functionality."
"The features that I have found most valuable are the artificial intelligence for the storage inside of the software and firmware because customers do not like functionalities which require manual interruption."
"HPE Primera has good integration. All the users are using HP servers and some systems, such as Synergy, which integrate well into the solution."
"One of the most valuable features is the ease of deployment."
"HPE Primera is an all-flash storage product that's very stable and has a higher storage capacity. It can also give better ROI compared to NetApp."
"All of the capabilities of the hardware such as replication, snapshot, and the specific features are all included from the start as opposed to being on another license."
"The performance of the solution is good."
"The high availability was most valuable because they come with what's called 100% data availability. With special terms, they license and guarantee 100% data availability. That was probably one of the key features or components that HPE was offering with that model."
"It is a stable and scalable solution with quick and efficient storage capability."
"We are doing a hybrid and are moving some machines to Microsoft Azure to run in hybrid mode. We are checking the availability of extra software-defined storage so that we can configure it."
"Pure Storages have some option, which allows us the ability to directly download that host inventory and volume report. We can receive everything directly generated from the storage itself. We do not need to use some other web browser or something. If HPE Nimble Storage could do the same it would be a benefit."
"I would like to see an added feature to auto-fix, or a dynamic alerting system on storage."
"The quality of technical support depends on which member of the support team you speak with."
"The solution could improve by having more granularity. For example, having the ability to go deeper into specific IO channels or specific latency issues that can happen would be a benefit. HPE has this ability on their side but it would be useful to have it on our side."
"There is a new version of the Nimble and 3PAR systems called Alletra and they have a lot of new features."
"The HPE Nimble Storage could have better integration with monitoring and machine learning system information solutions."
"We have had some stability issues with one array which has happened twice during subsequent software updates but is due to a bad Postgres database."
"On the hardware side, you should have the ability to expand capacity to larger numbers."
"There really isn't any aspect of the solution that needs improvement for the customer other than its price."
"The reporting console can be improved with out of the box reports."
"On the controller side, I would like to see NAS capabilities."
"One of the drawbacks of the model we purchased is that it is not running NVMe drives. Even though they say that it is NVMe-ready, it is still on the SSD drives. The model that we purchased has only eight hard drives, and only the ones on the top could work on NVMe. The rest of them are still on the SSD. Its competitors, such as EMC and Pure Storage, are moving or have already moved to NVMe. HPE should improve this solution for NVMe. HPE should also improve IOs in this solution. IOs in HPE are weaker than Hitachi and Pure Storage."
"They could work to make scalability easier."
"Increasing the IOPS and throughput values would make the product even better. Improving the scalability of HPE Primera is also recommended."
"There are certain features that require engineering-level access, which should be accessible to storage admins as well."
