Provides actionable user behavior insights and improves feature prioritization decisions
I didn't encounter many components that were annoying. One main area of frustration was finding data. When wanting to find data about clicks on a specific UI feature, element, or button, sometimes the objects were not named in a descriptive way. That was our problem on the implementation side, not Heap's. I also found that the analytics dashboards in Heap couldn't be customized as much as desired. I couldn't adjust the charts in the widgets or the settings on each widget to the level wanted in either data granularity or physical size of the widget on the dashboard page. Additional flexibility in dashboard building and widget building would be beneficial.

Centralized data has unified profiles and now drives more accurate targeting and reporting
The great audience-building property makes Tealium Customer Data Hub ideal for real-time marketing initiatives. It also helps us to interact with our internal tracking system and our analytics suppliers. Tealium iQ makes tag management super easy, especially across multiple sites, and in my experience, it is one of the best features Tealium Customer Data Hub offers. I love how it stitches data from different sources in real time, making segmentation much more accurate. The built-in consent management platform helps a lot with staying compliant and managing user preferences centrally. All of these features are very great because they mainly help to unify and activate client data across CRM, billing, and marketing systems, specifically tag management, real-time data stitching, and the consent management platform. Our personalization and targeting have improved significantly with cleaner data, showing the positive impact of Tealium Customer Data Hub. Finance and business development now get better reporting from unified client profiles. Having one place to manage tags and privacy preferences has saved us both time and trouble.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"An immensely useful feature is the retention graphs with the ability to generate retention data for individual features."
"What I like best about it is the session replay feature. It saves a lot of time. I don't need to go and debug or replicate issues multiple times. We can go to the session replay for a few minutes. We can ask when the issue occurred, go to that time in the replay, and see whether the user made a mistake or if there's an app caching issue. That has been very helpful."
"The initial setup process was straightforward."
"Heap has positively impacted my organization because we no longer need to do it manually; it is fully done automatically."
"The reporting has helped improve investor relations and let us quantify our growth and progress with ease."
"After using Heap, I started understanding the complete user journey because of its great feature, the auto-capture, which captures everything from seeing the ad to closing the deal."
"Heap eliminates the guesswork of funnels, directly resulting in higher conversion rates and revenue."
"Heap enables one to easily track how customers use one's applications on both the web and mobile."
"I really enjoy Tealium as a whole, including its tag management part and its CDP capability."
"The product's initial setup phase is very easy."
"The tool offers a wide variety of extension stacks."
"Tealium Customer Data Hub is the real deal, and my overall rating for this product is 9 out of 10."
"Tealium Customer Data Hub has been able to provide advanced segmentation that has allowed us to effectively reduce our ad spend while simultaneously increasing the quality of leads that we are generating by targeting key user groups."
"Tealium differs from Google Tag Manager and Adobe Launch. It allows you to manage different environments easily. For example, you don't have distinct environments in Google Tag Manager. When you want to work on development sites, preview the changes before publishing them to a production website."
"We can create our segments and users in a field. Creating segments in Tealium using AudienceStream is easier than using any other filter."
"The product is super easy for anyone to learn."

Cons

"My experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing has a problem because when you are collecting more and more data, it becomes more and more expensive, and the ten thousand free sessions can be burned really fast, after which it became expensive."
"I also found that the analytics dashboards in Heap couldn't be customized as much as desired."
"Based on my experience, there's some room for improvement. The application is a bit slow. Also, I must read through old documentation when I need to check for new features. It's not very user-friendly. Once you're in the application, it's easy because it has many features. But for first-time users, you have to go through all the documents, which can be challenging."
"The product could benefit from more advanced UI features."
"I would rate Heap's scalability around 6 out of 10 because we are still not completely familiar with it."
"It's more expensive."
"Their analytics could be more user-friendly."
"One area where Tealium Customer Data Hub needs improvement is that the setup is somewhat complex, and pop-up windows can be obstructive when collaborating with other team members."
"Sometimes, the extensions do not load properly before and after events."
"It would be good if the tool had a console inside it to help meet complex requirements."
"We did have a couple of incidences where the CDN was possibly not resolving."
"You can do anything you need with Tealium and reach your goals. You may face difficulty finding talents using this solution as it is new to market."
"In the UI, some data is not visible. I think improvements related to bug fixing are needed in the tool."
"Tealium Customer Data Hub does not provide any reporting analytics."
"In terms of the tool's real-time data capabilities, I think there are a few issues where improvements are required."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The solution is expensive."
"Heap's pricing can be heavy according to the usage and requirements for control billing."
"The price is based on event volume."
"Tealium's pricing can be expensive compared to others, but it's worth the investment due to its extensive features and capabilities."
"Tealium Customer Data Hub is an expensive solution, but it is not more expensive than Adobe."
"It's not as expensive as other tools."
"In Tealium, there is something called events, and the pricing is dependent on the event. You will be charged only if you have active data flowing it in and out."
"The tool's price is somewhere in the middle, meaning it is not too expensive and not too cheap either. The pricing model comes with flexibility."
