Simple to use solution that offers a lot; gives employees the option to get cash advances
I think it's great that it syncs with QuickBooks Online and any payroll software that syncs with QuickBooks Online is great. My issue with their syncing was that every single account for a deduction went to a liability account, but not a lot of businesses run that way. As of September, they did not have the ability for me to put an employee's deduction for benefits in anything but a liability account; which made it not difficult, but added a manual step to the syncing of the entering of our payroll between Gusto and QuickBooks Online. I would also like for the tech support to be more responsive. Gusto also advertises their health benefits, but they don't do a good job of explaining why it's a better option to go through them. I think there's more communication that could be done on that. I also think that there are some HR benefits that they could be offering to these lower plans, without having to go to the Premium Plan. I think that that's something that they should consider in the future.

Centralizes our enterprise-wide functions but could benefit from cloud migration
We have dealt with customer service, and it was awful. For a system this size, it felt like we were merely buying software from them. They weren't really partnered with us on it. Reporting bugs and getting feedback, as well as having engineers work on issues, was very transactional. There was no real ownership on Oracle's part. During several support cases, it became difficult to determine ownership at Oracle and get status updates. The on-premises Oracle support is not great in my experience, and I think this is true in the industry. We've read about their software as a solution, and theoretically, their SaaS portal support is a lot better.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"I appreciated the templates that they offered for new hires and onboarding."
"I like the payroll part. We also use documents and forms whenever we hire, such as a new hire form for each state, and we like that as well."
"We can drill down from the sales order line to the invoice and payment at the detailed level."
"As we have been using this for the past nine years we have had the opportunity to explore the product. Really everything has worked well and all the modules are very good."
"Oracle E-Business Suite improves forecast accuracy, reduces costs, and increases manufacturing capacity."
"It is a very stable solution."
"Regarding the valuable features, the automation is inherent in all systems, including Oracle E-Business Suite. It helps in various business processes, depending on the company's behavior and requests."
"Oracle E-Business Suite has over 20 different modules to choose from, it is comprehensive. Additionally, the integration is very good."
"Oracle E-Business Suite is a very integrated application. My overall rating is nine out of ten."
"It is scalable."

Cons

"In the beginning, their support was top-notch. And then around the beginning of 2022, and end of 2021, their support tanked. We used to get responses in the beginning within one to two business days, and towards the end, we were getting responses in one to two business weeks."
"Their enrollment e-signature, enrollment forms, and other documents need a lot of work. Once we fill in the information, we cannot go back and change any of that. It's a time-taking process. If there is any mistake in the document and if we need to go and change a specific field in the form, it's not possible. We have to redo the entire form."
"From the business processes, there are areas where you could streamline new processes."
"I would rate the support for Oracle E-Business Suite a four out of five."
"Oracle is easy to implement at a new organization like ours, but it might be more challenging for an established organization with more rules and policies in place."
"The EBS Design to some extent is still monolithic."
"The user interface is not completely a web interface, it uses a lot of traffic which costs too much for a large number of users scattered throughout the country as they connect from their terminals to do their tasks."
"HRMS analyzers should be automatically updated to be the most recent because Oracle support always asks for the latest version of the analyzer output."
"On-site cloud support is slow and unresponsive."
"I would say the integration needs improvement. Oracle needs to work on the integration layer to make the solution much more robust and modern."

"In order to minimize the implementation and consultancy costs, business lines should have proper definitions. They need to have a proper way of retrieving their data, which should be structured well."
"The pricing of Oracle E-Business Suite is too high."
"USD $100,000 annually."
"The price of the solution is extremely high."
