FAST [EOL] vs Hitachi Dynamic Link Manager [EOL] comparison

EMC fully automated storage tiering (FAST) automatically moves active data to high-performance storage tiers and inactive data to low-cost, high-capacity storage tiers. The result is higher performance, lower costs, and a denser footprint than conventional systems. With FAST, enterprise flash drives increase application performance by up to 800 percent, and serial advanced technology attachment (SATA) disk drives lower costs by up to 80 percent.

Hitachi Dynamic Link Manager software provides comprehensive path failover and failback to ensure higher data availability, reliability and accessibility. Automatic workload balancing helps to maintain outstanding system performance across all available paths. If one path were to fail, Hitachi Dynamic Link Manager Advanced would automatically switch the I/O to an alternate path. This action ensures that an active route to your data is always available.
