We performed a comparison between Ephesoft Transact and IQ Bot based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out in this report how the two Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."I have found the keyword extraction to be helpful."
"I like the inject feature. With desktop injects, we're doing all these things and extracting these things. Its stable, scalable, and technical support is good."
"Transact's best feature is its ease of customization."
"The ability to differentiate between documents is valuable."
"The flexibility to deploy based on the different types is the most valuable. We can deploy pieces of the program directly over the fields. We can also directly connect with databases. We can modify it and make different connections with the database. We are also able to programmably modify the fields and change the presentation and values or evaluate a list of values. We can change the values on the fly. It is very flexible and very easy to use and learn. It is also very simple."
"The most valuable features are rapid development, stability, and ease of use."
"I personally feel that the c-extraction feature is valuable. After training it for a particular document, we can see the extractions there. Other than that, it has other features like Python scripting in-built, and these are the features that I feel stand out."
"The single platform capabilities are most valuable. I don't need to go to another third-party such as Blue Prism or UiPath. They have all these other bolt-on solutions. It is a part of the Automation Anywhere platform. It is all integrated."
"Training the model is very simple with IQ Bot's technology. It requires providing several examples of the type of document you want to evaluate. IQ Bot already has a built-in taxonomy, which is like a dictionary of elements commonly found in certain types of documents. For example, when evaluating an invoice, you will find elements, such as "total," "item descriptions," and "shipped to." This pre-existing taxonomy greatly speeds up the training process as it provides a starting point and structure, rather than starting from scratch."
"The detection or extraction of data from the images in PDFs is the feature that I use the most. It is a good solution in terms of how easily you can administer or manage this tool. It is quite easy to use, and it is powerful in terms of what it can do."
"The initial setup is easy."
"Transact could be improved by removing Java and making its pricing more accessible for smaller customers."
"Their email service and extraction could be better. We get the input via email, and these emails contain different types of documents like Excel, PDF, or they may contain different content in the email body. Due to this variation, sometimes the email service crashes, and emails aren't redirected to Ephesoft Transact. Ephesoft has provided us with new hotfixes. Whatever flaws we found in the 2019.2 version, they have already updated it in the new version, 20.1.05, and it's already released. Drawbacks like not capturing the handwritten fields are now sorted."
"It's not easy to train."
"It would be helpful if the IQ Bot OCR could be integrated with third-party solutions like FlexiCapture."
"It would be good if the solution could extract or capture details from unstructured data."
"There are issues with the technology identifying a signature."
"The success rate must be improved."
"The solution's predictive model can be improved in terms of accuracy."
"We don't get any kind of technical support or training for IQ Bot. There's a total lack of communication from them."
"There are certain things that OCR engines are not capable of handling currently. For example, OCR engines pick up a slash as a question mark. They also don't have the capability to handle subcolumns in a column. It would be really helpful if they can add more OCR engines with advanced capabilities to handle such scenarios. We need more cognitive abilities in the OCR engines to deal with the most complex scenarios. We also need more advanced capabilities so that IQ Bot can give better results in terms of PDF quality. This is because we cannot expect the same quality from all the vendors and customers, and there might be scenarios where we get some sort of scanned copies."
"I know that Automation Anywhere just said that IQ Bot 11 and higher versions are ready to extract the documents with less than 300 DPI, however, this is not true. I never could work with documents with less than 300 DPI."
