Efficient management of multi-domain masters but API integrations could be improved
As for improvement, the con is basically API integrations. I would like to have some improved API integrations in the future release. Moreover, there is room for improvement in the setup process. The company should move the deployment to the cloud and make it a ready setup. In the market, many of the players, like Trento, Semarchy, and MDM software which are on the cloud, are ready to use. All the installation is pre-defined so that the installation cost is not to be added by the client every time. So, deployment and installation are specific to the service partner only. A client cannot do it by themselves.

Offers profiling and address standardization but can be complicated
Informatica Data Quality has its data warehouse, primarily using Oracle and some SQL databases. You need a database to host the data. The cleansed version of the data is stored in the data warehouse. It integrates with PowerCenter and other Informatica tools. The integration details can be complex, but a regional setup is involved in this process. Profiling smaller datasets, such as 10,000-50,000 records, worked fine. However, unexpected issues could arise with larger datasets, such as thousands of records or more, especially with tables containing many columns. Handling tables with fifty or more columns can be challenging, even in Excel. A mismatch in data types could cause the entire system to crash. Continual enhancements are being made to address these issues, which can be unique to specific industries like finance and healthcare.

Modular design, product-based MDM and easy to setup
Stibo is a great product if you want to utilize it in product-based MDM. Customer-base, they are still growing, but product-base is fine because every single time you have to create hierarchies in the product and not care about all the other stuff. But the major thing is the hierarchy, at which particular type that product is and what that product does, how it looks, what is the catalog, what are the relationships with other stuff. So, from that note, Stibo is great. Around 20 to 25 people were there when I was on a particular project. I knew around 20 to 25 people who knew Stibo MDM and were part of it.

Pros

"Efficient management of multi-domain masters, product suppliers, and locations."
"In the latest version, I like the outlay of the business roles creation. I like seeing that visualization as you're building it, as opposed to going through metatables or XML mappings. We liked that piece, and it makes it more intuitive for the business."
"The tool does give a good ROI."
"The solution's initial setup is quite straightforward."
"The product seems stable enough."

"It's very user friendly, and we can do everything in one place."
"It's powerful and it's stable."
"The match engine is very good and the BPM solution is very good as well."

Cons

"As for improvement, the con is basically API integrations."
"Their UI needs improvement. Their scorecards and reporting also need improvement. Their data quality reporting, especially their dashboards and scorecards, is lackluster at best. Its reporting capabilities are limited. If you want to do anything beyond its limited reporting capabilities, then you're going to have to use an external reporting tool such as Power BI or something like that."
"There may be some types of limitations with the performance."
"The tool should provide a unified user interface to manage the data objects."
"There's no direct way to connect to Amazon APIs from Informatica Cloud."
"The solution doesn't directly connect to any of the analytical tools."

"The tools required to migrate existing mappings and server rules through cloud data quality are not available."
"It could be improved by including a buffer that saves data when there is a connectivity issue."

"The initial setup is complex."
"The analytics module can be improved. It is a self-service solution for creating new reports and submitting visions to bring more data to the CEO table."
"The search feature for searching internal records could be improved."
"There is scope for improvement with regard to the UI."
