Featured Reviews

Enables proactive threat detection and immediate response through AI monitoring
The most valuable feature of Darktrace is its ability to detect and counter threats before they occur. The autonomous response capability is always enabled, blocking threats immediately without hesitation. Additionally, the Darktrace email platform is a significant asset since it addresses incoming threats before they reach the network, enhancing our security measures. Protecting the business is essential, and ensuring security through 24/7 AI monitoring is invaluable.
Prakhar Pandey - PeerSpot reviewer
An user friendly solution for writing queries with intuitive flow
There should be more integration or an update to the visualization part of the charts or other graphs we plot. Currently, it integrates from your local directive with your local PC. If it is integrated into other platforms, that would be great. You can only write Python queries in Jupiter, not other languages, like, SQL or PySpark. Databricks is a software that provides writing queries in different languages. Jupiter should allow us to write in different languages.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"We have found the product to be stable and issue-free."
"The most valuable feature of this solution is that it does not require human intervention to eliminate a threat."
"The solution is stable. We've never had any problems with it."
"I would 100% recommend Darktrace."
"The autonomous response is also highly designed in Darktrace."
"The Antigena feature is most valuable. Once it learns your environment, Antigena can step in and block a denial of service attack, a ransomware attack, or just about anything that doesn't belong in the environment. It can detect any type of attack that hits the environment because it understands what normal looks like for the network. It is very useful for an autonomous response."
"One member of staff is enough for deployment and maintenance because Darkforce is AI-driven. It does a lot of things by itself."
"Its AI technology supports cybersecurity by learning my environment and accurately responding to threats."
"The product’s UI is pretty decent and fast."

Cons

"The user interface and the configuration are a bit complex and should be improved or simplified."
"Updates keep coming, which is great, but I prefer a unified UI experience. The intelligence section and the incident view should be seamlessly connected in one view to avoid jumping between pages."
"The pricing is costly in USD, and they charge based on device counts."
"The solution would benefit from automation. Currently, you have to know what you are searching for."
"I'd love them to see maybe covering the cloud a bit more."
"In terms of improvements, fine-tuning is the area where we have to spend some time because it works on unsupervised machine learning. It would be good if they can improve their algorithm or technical functionality to reduce the fine-tuning effort. They can also come up with something at the endpoint level. So far, Darktrace has been a network detection response (NDR) solution. It does not offer much at the endpoint level or on user-client devices or servers. There should be more visibility at the endpoint level. It would be good to have the detection and response at the endpoint level by Darktrace. It should also have integration with an agile environment so that we can have continuous development and continuous integration in the application development environment. This is currently not there. It should also have internet-facing platform visibility, which is currently missing. They also need to improve the reporting and management dashboards. Currently, these are not so easy for a non-technical person. All these features would make Darktrace much better, and they would also be helpful in selling more solutions."
"In an upcoming release, there could be more customizable playbooks or a library of playbooks to choose from."
"The management dashboards and the meter dashboards should be more user-friendly and simple to use for easy management."
"You can only write Python queries in Jupiter, not other languages, like, SQL or PySpark."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"This solution is expensive."
"We had an issue with pricing initially and had to cancel some of the features of the projects to fit the budget. I would like to see pricing that is not broken up into parts so that we can buy the whole package once. Darktrace is more expensive than an average solution, but it's functionality won't match that of an average solution."
"The pricing is expensive. It costs over $100,000 a year."
"We've budgeted about 50,000 Kuwaiti dinars for the solution. That is a yearly operating cost."
"There is an annual license to use Darktrace."
"The cost of the solution is expensive for smaller businesses. They will not be able to afford it or might not need this type of security solution."
"It's an expensive solution."
"It is pretty expensive, but it is worth it. Its licensing is yearly."
