Document creation has become faster and more accurate but complex templates still need improvement
In terms of improvements for Conga Composer, we did start seeing a lot of requests related to customization, which were initially difficult. As people got to know that it's very easy to customize it, we started to get those more and more, and we saw fewer errors. Earlier, there were many requests to manually adjust the contract value, which was not possible with the CPQ quote documents. With Conga Composer, we can customize it to some level. For exception cases, we can modify the template and generate the contract in a way they want it. While we did not record any metrics, looking at the overall tickets and the reduction in errors we used to see, I think it has improved efficiency by a lot, and our stakeholders agree. However, I would say that despite being easy to set up these templates, there are limitations around looping. Some functionalities break when dealing with large templates, around 30 to 40 pages long. We jumped on their support, but we could not come to a resolution, so we ended up reducing the overall complexity of our template. I think Conga Composer could improve its adoption for Conga Composer Sign. Right now, the adoption is not very great. People use Conga Composer mainly for document generation and then go separately for DocuSign. To get a better hold of the market, Conga should definitely invest more into Conga Composer Sign.

Digital workflows have transformed contract signing and save time with remote approvals
In my opinion, the best features PandaDoc offers include ease of template creation, integration with other tools such as HubSpot, a user-friendly interface, and customizable templates. The integration with HubSpot enhances the overall user experience for my team, especially for the less technical users. PandaDoc has positively impacted my organization by being really helpful, especially as a game-changer when dealing with documents with our remote clients. We are able to send them the documents, and they can sign using their phone, so they do not have to come all the way to our office to sign the documents. They save a lot of time and cost, achieving approximately 70 to 80 percent time saved and cost savings from traveling. I also value the ability to obtain signatures from our clients, making us more efficient and saving time and money. The pricing model of PandaDoc is far superior to that of other competitors, thus being very cost-effective and affordable. It definitely helps us provide a better customer experience to retain our customers as they know we are very professional.

Pros

"I like that Conga Composer allows for the generation of PDFs according to specific requirements by creating templates and pulling all the information added into those fields."
"I find the Conga email template creation and the document template creation features very useful."
"Using Conga Composer helps us send proposals much faster—within minutes instead of hours—thus improving our sales cycle by roughly twenty to thirty percent."
"Conga Composer offers extensive customization and flexibility, that allows us to create documents that perfectly align with our branding and specific business requirements."
"The most valuable feature is the automatic generation of invoices and the ability to merge fields from Salesforce into the document, creating a clean and professional invoice."
"I like Conga Composer because it's simple and flexible. I can manage complex formatting and queries easily and integrate it with other tools like DocuSign for the signing process. I’ve used it in Salesforce by installing the Conga Composer package, creating Conga solutions, queries, templates, and using different parameters. Integration with DocuSign allows me to send documents for signatures with just one click, which has greatly improved workflows. By automating processes, such as generating quotes, it has reduced human errors significantly. I also find the ability to generate documents in various formats like PowerPoint, Excel, and Word very useful. However, I haven't worked with its AI capabilities yet."
"Conga Composer helps to create documents faster and saves time."
"I have never faced any issues with stability."
"PandaDoc has positively impacted our organization by enabling us to spend significantly less time creating documents, providing a better closing experience for customers, and enabling trusted electronic signatures."
"PandaDoc is a very stable product, and I would definitely suggest it to anyone asking for a review."

Cons

"Conga is getting more and more expensive."
"Conga Composer can be improved because it has a steep learning curve, especially for new users."
"I had only one minor issue, which was resolved quickly due to their prompt assistance."
"The initial setup is at an intermediate level of difficulty since understanding Conga Composer for the first time can be confusing."
"The biggest area where Conga needs improvement is its documentation. The documentation is good but not up to par with other platforms like Salesforce, which has extensive documentation and a helpful community."
"Conga Composer is somewhat slow."
"The query builder could use some updates."
"We have not been using Conga Composer extensively or deeply to look for improvements."
"From time to time, PandaDoc was very slow. I remember one or two days where it was very hard to use it, but that was rather the exception than the rule."
"One way PandaDoc can be improved is that it does not have the greatest notifying system; sometimes it can be annoying."
"I think PandaDoc could be improved in that sometimes after uploading a Word file, a notification is already sent out without me having the opportunity to insert an e-sign box, which is frustrating."
"PandaDoc can be improved by making formatting and adding graphics and visual elements much easier."
"Sometimes the fillable fields in PandaDoc don't automatically map properly, requiring manual adjustments, which can be somewhat time-wasting."
"I wish PandaDoc would be more affordable for automations, as the credits we have are very limited and expensive for the agreements sent by automations."
"One aspect I would improve about PandaDoc is that the templating feature could be more expandable, such as allowing the ability to draw images."
"PandaDoc can be improved with up-to-date documentation that would be helpful, especially for new learners, along with better handling of license and license add-ons, and allowing coordination of fields across roles or user sections."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"I think the tool costs around six dollars per user."
"Regarding pricing, I believe it’s around fifty dollars, but I’m not entirely sure. Overall, I find the pricing reasonable and am quite satisfied with the product. The value we get from it justifies the cost, as it requires minimal maintenance and is straightforward to use. The functionality it provides aligns well with the investment."
"It's not cheap, but it's not overly expensive either."
