We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The main thing is that I feel safe. Because the processes that have been used to get a handle on the attackers are much better than other competitors""It notifies us if there's any suspicious file on any PC. If any execution or similar kind of thing is happening, it just alerts us. It doesn't only alert. It also blocks the execution until we allow it. We check whether the execution is legitimate or not, and then approve it or keep it blocked. This gives us a little bit of control over this mechanism. Fortinet FortiEDR is also very straightforward and easy to maintain.""The most valuable feature is the analysis, because of the beta structure.""The solution was relatively easy to deploy.""Ability to get forensics details and also memory exfiltration.""Fortinet FortiEDR's scalability is quite good, and you can add licenses to the solution.""Having all monitoring, response, tracking, and mitigation tools in one dashboard provides our analysts and SOC team with a comprehensive view at a glance.""The product detects and blocks threats and is more proactive than firewalls."

"Auto Containment is a valuable feature.""It is a very stable solution, making it an excellent product.""It's a very easy-to-use product.""The tool is an open-source EDR with antivirus features. It also has remote support and patch management.""It's user-friendly, compatible, and accessible.""The big advantage is that it has a sandbox if something bad comes into it.""If you open up an application or a web browser, it puts a container in a sandbox area. So if there's some malicious code, it'll stick there. It also has way better protection for ransomware because it uses heuristics that are pretty effective. We've done a lot of tests with live malware, and it works really well.""The product’s valuable feature is the remote control station."

"There is a layer of security to prevent a malicious agent (malware) from interrupting or stopping services, deleting or modifying registry entries or even stopping the antivirus from acting, ensuring that there will be no interruption of protection.""On the cloud management page, the solution scales up very highly.""We use the product for detecting network vulnerabilities and for software update purposes.""F-Secure is useful for keeping user machines up-to-date by pushing out security and critical updates.""The notifications and patch management features are valuable.""The most valuable features of WithSecure Elements Endpoint Protection are the clear useful portal and overall company protection.""Both incoming and outgoing traffic is protected."

Cons
"We've encountered challenges during API deployment, occasionally resulting in unstable environments.""They can include the automation for the realtime updates. We have a network infrastructure with remote sites. Whenever they send updates, they are not automated. We have to go into the console and push those updates. I wish it was more automated. The update file is currently around 31 MB. It could be smaller.""Once, we had an event that was locked and blocked, but information about it came to us two or three days later.""The solution's installation from a central installation server could be improved because the engineers had a little bit of trouble getting it installed from a central location.""The solution should address emerging threats like SQL injection.""We've had a lot of false positives; things incorrectly flagged that require manual configuration to allow. Even worse, after we allow a legitimate program, it sometimes gets flagged again after an update. This has caused a lot of extra work for my team.""We find the solution to be a bit expensive.""The support needs improvement."

More Fortinet FortiEDR Cons →

"The product must provide a web filter to block websites based on specific categories.""The downside of the product stems from the fact that it is still an unknown product in the market. Comodo needs to invest more in advertisements and promotions.""They need to just modernize the infrastructure with something that is next-generation. We have recently moved to SentinelOne. It had been doing good for us for a while, but we needed something modern with new technology.""There are a few minor issues such as package updates and passwords.""They need to enhance the performance of the agents. Currently, the performance is going low when the agent starts a full scan. The agent is consuming a lot of resources while scanning. When there are a lot of documents to check, it slows down the endpoint. This is the only thing that worries me about Comodo, but this issue is also there in other products. It is missing DLP, and I know that they are working on adding some data loss prevention capabilities. They have added some capabilities, but these capabilities are not yet mature. I hope they will enhance these capabilities because it is important to prevent the data from going out from inside. We are protected from the outside, but we also have to be protected from the inside out.""The solution's online documentation needs to be fine-tuned. It is not up to which solution currently has. There is some inconsistency in the knowledge present. I would like to see MDM in the solution's future releases.""There could be MDRM features added to the product.""Would be good to have a better understanding of what it is that you've got in quarantine."

More Comodo Advanced Endpoint Protection Cons →

"There could be a dedicated security partner with essential knowledge.""The solution could improve by having more real-time responses. For example, when a license gets removed from a computer it does not update the records of the change. Additionally, when I installed Microsoft Windows Defender I was not able to send licenses through email to our tenants. The integration with other solutions could improve.""But the biggest one for us is patch management because this has been our top priority when looking at alternatives. Every solution needs to have patch management, if that's possible. It would cut costs on our side if that feature were included, so we don't need to pay for two separate pieces of software.""Resource consumption is suboptimal and could be improved.""There is no technical support available in the Middle East.""The program and cloud service management is in English. It's not a problem for me, however, it might be for users who don't speak English or use it regularly.""I would like the part of Hash Analysis by external sources to be improved."

    Reviews from Real Users

Below are some reviews and helpful feedback written by Fortinet FortiEDR users.

An Owner at a security firm says, "The features that I have found most valuable are the ability to customize it and to reduce its size. It lets you run in a very small window in terms of memory and resources on legacy cash registers. The customer has literally about 800 cash registers. That was the use case for Fortinet FortiEDR - to get that down into a tiny space. The only way to do that was to use this product because it had that ability to unbundle services that were a surplus.”

Chandan M., Chief Technical Officer at Provision Technologies LLP, mentions, “The ease of deployment and configuration is valuable. It's very easy compared to other vendors like Sophos. Sophos' configuration is complex. Fortinet is a lot easier to understand. You don't need a lot of admin knowledge to do the configuration.” He also adds, “The security is also very good and the firewall response is good.”

Harpreet S., Information Technology Support Specialist at Chemtrade Logistics, explains, "It notifies us if there's any suspicious file on any PC. If any execution or similar kind of thing is happening, it just alerts us. It doesn't only alert. It also blocks the execution until we allow it. We check whether the execution is legitimate or not, and then approve it or keep it blocked. This gives us a little bit of control over this mechanism. Fortinet FortiEDR is also very straightforward and easy to maintain."

DeAndre V., Senior Network Administrator at a financial services firm, states, “The dashboard is easy to follow and use. The deployment and uninstalling were easy. I like the detailed information about the path of a file that might be suspicious. Being able to check that out was easy to follow. Exceptions are easy to create and the interface is easy to follow with a nice appearance.

Comodo Advanced Endpoint Protection (AEP) delivers patent-pending auto-containment, where unknown executables and other files that request runtime privileges are automatically run in a virtual contain that does not have access to the host system's resources or user data.
